help please

Hi! I am new here. I have given my 9th, 10th, 11th and earned good percentage- fluctuating 95-97%. But this feb I met with a severe bus accident and was hospitalised; and was unable to take my tests. My parents are much worried about me. I am going to take my SAT in sept and will be applying in oct or so to some mid-state universities and colleges only and not to top universities as my sat scores (self-evaluated) are not so high. Also, the 12th in mar 2013.

So, will i be loosing because of my mid-gap. Please tell me frankly. Will they ignore me because of it? Also, as a matter of comparison- If anybody without gap has 100% chances then what are the chances with a mid-gap. Will i be seriously hurt coz of it? Imagine everything else good- Recommendation letters, Essays etc.

Firstly, I hope you’re well now!

Secondly, you will have the opportunity to explain how and why you took a gap in your studies. Colleges will, definitely, take that into consideration. You will not be ignored because of something that was out of your control and affected you adversely :)

Please don’t worry about it since you will have ample opportunity to explain the when, if and how of your situation and colleges will take that into consideration.
