My cousin needs help. So she is in high school and she got a 53%, an f, for spanish for first quarter. What percent/grade would she need next quarter to pass the semester since the 2 quarter grades average together?

Depending on the grading system, the highest grade she can get will probably be a C average if she gets an A next quarter.

In order to pass with a D, she would need to get at least 67% if her school calculates the averages by percentage, or at least a C if they calculate by letter grade.
This is all assuming that midterms aren’t factored in as well. She should really ask the teacher.
