I’m applying to a summer program and we have to write a short story. I had one character say “ditto” and accidentally put “dildo”. I know it’s a ridiculous typo that looks nothing like the original word. IDK what I was thinking.

How do I call and say “change didlo to ditto?”. HELP!!!

Let it go–do not call them or bring more attention to it. I’m sure they realize that it’s a typo (after having a good laugh). If anything, it’ll make your story stand out among the rest.

I wouldn’t contact them about, even though I don’t really think it’d hurt. I think they’ll understand, and probably laugh their heads off.

lol, this reminds me of that reaaaally old thread about the girl who typed ‘clam farting’ as her significant extracurricular on her Yale application! If it’s any consolation, she was accepted. :)

Well this girl was talking and she said “I’m so tired, how are you feeling?” and the other girl who always says like says, “like dildo”. So she’s saying she feels like a dildo. That’s why I’m freaking out!
