Help: What to Wear Under Boardshorts...

<p>I know this is REALLY of topic and even a lttle out of season, but what, if anything, do most guys wear under boardshorts? I got my first pair not long ago, and I went to to an indoor swim party commando. To my embarrassment, I was partially exposed the whole time cuz they were kinda loose and sagging…Any suggestions?</p>

<p>Sometimes I wear briefs or boxer briefs- they give a little more support. Usually, i don’t wear white though because they go see-thru</p>

<p>It’s not like swimwear, it looks like it but it doesn’t have the net that swimming trunks do. Thats why you need to wear boxers.</p>

<p>boardshorts when actually used for surfing are to be used commando - any inner lining or elastic causes irritating friction. Note that some board shorts are not really board shorts at all because they have a mesh lining.</p>

<p>If used as casual wear - please wear some type of undies of your choosing!</p>

<p>hey, I just realized I own boardshorts (can’t really think about summerwear in NYC in April). I usually use them as swimwear actually and go commando but when I wear them casually (usually to play sports or something), I’ll wear boxers underneath.</p>

<p>coming from a person who goes to school across the street from the beach, like i said earlier you can wear them either way. no one (at least where i live) freaks out if you do or don’t wear something underneath. it’s just personal preference.</p>

<p>Haha… commando is so much better especially after. It’s so stupid that you have to dry out your boxers and/or briefs if you decide to wear them underneath. It’s not worth the time… Who cares if you go commando? Back in the early years, girls would giggle if you were exposed, but times have changed, we’re in the 21st CENTURY!!! Exposing is just a way of life now.</p>

<p>this question plagued me as well for a little while
the answer is simple:
-wear underwear if you are wearing them as shorts
-don’t wear underwear if you’re going swimming
-always buy properly sized shorts</p>

<p>lol vu_preuss, I think girls would still more than giggle if I were exposed…I’d rather not have that experience…So if I were going to swim in them, is the general consensus that I should go commando? Thanks for ur input all! I’m not too worried, one of my friends goes swimming in JUST his briefs- the girls will get a kick out of that…</p>

<p>yeah, seriously. and at the sametime, stop wearing polo shirts if you dont play polo, stop wearing tennis shoes if you dont play tennis, stop wearing sandels if you dont go to the beach, dont wear running shoes if you dont run on a regular basis, dont wear watches with bezels unless you are a scuba diver, and if you arent a foreigner, please please please dont watch foreign films :P, seriously guys, i think they should have you show proof of surfer ID or something before they let people buy boardshorts because sharing is bad.</p>
