I have to write a speech on an issue and I was wondering if their was a word or articles about this certain thing. I want to write about how many people aspire to be like someone famous, but often overlook the hard work and steps that it took them to get them there. Like how we always look at the end goal and don’t see the road that got someone there. All help is appreciated, thanks!
Pp 32-34 of this maybe? http://www.capmembers.com/media/cms/L2L_Mod1_Ch2_The_Cadet_And_The_Team_03A97D7210AE0.pdf
… sorry that’s all that popped into my mind. It’s more general goal-setting advice, though.
Gloss over
Take for granted
Sense of entitlement
Underappreciate
Not exactly what you asked for, but I loved Ashton Kutcher’s Teen Choice Awards speech related to this topic There’s also an interview with Kutcher that follows the first video.
