<p>All right, I decided to come here for help (as demonstrated by the title)…</p>

<p>I’ve been denied to every college I’ve applied to but one. The problem is that I’ve spent the past 3.5 years in high school doing nothing but countless of ECs and maintaining grades that have kept me in the top 10 (don’t know exact rank), essentially little to no social life. The only college I was accepted to is one that has a ridiculously high acceptance rate for around here, I’ve tried to break out of here by going to a great college (Rural, small town, conservative, Christian) with no success. The only thing I’ve ever really had a knack for was playing guitar and school, the latter of which has gotten me nowhere. Neither of my parents have attended college and I don’t want to stay in the same town for 4 more years. In addition, I wasn’t given the ability to apply to every college I wanted to since my parents honestly believed I was good enough to get into colleges such as Duke, Yale, Princeton, etc. Can somebody help me?</p>

<p>For what it’s worth, every EC I’ve done has been relevant to what I’m passionate about.</p>

<p>play guitar for a year and reapply to more schools? or transfer later if you don’t end up liking the college? (it’s obviously possible that you could find some friends and enjoy it).</p>

<p>depends on what your parent’ll let you do too i guess. i’m in the same position, except the local state university i’m going to attend is more liberal and atheist.</p>

<p>Although you might not like it for the location, Miami is a pretty good school. Go for a semester or year and try to transfer.</p>
