Hi, my name is matt, I’m a junior in high school and I was wondering how to boost my college resume. I have around a 4.2 weighted GPA and I take a heavy AICE/ AP curriculum. I have a job at Kmart and I’m involved in 2 clubs, DECA and NSSHS. I also have around 250 community service hours. My two schools I hope to get to would be FSU and UF and I was wondering besides grades and test scores, if there’s anything else you guys would recommend to get me into those schools and hopefully get me accepted. Keep doing what you’re doing. 
Both schools like to see that you’ve committed to an EC for a few years. It’s better that you’ve been in DECA for 4 years, than in 7 clubs for 1 year each. Keep up with your community service hours, work, and activity in your clubs.
Try for a leadership position. Make sure, next year, that you put in the work on UF’s essay, it really matters. Try to take the ACT/SAT by the spring (that gives you time to retake it in June or the Fall, senior year). Keep your grades up your junior year (which is by far the hardest in an AICE program).
