help?

my identical twin and myself are both interested in being nurses. She wants to do L&D and I want to work in the NICU.

I am having a beast of a time finding scholarships that I can use in the first 2 years of college. Any ideas whatsoever?

If you are willing to commit the first several years of your nursing career to a specific institution, there are full-rides out there. ROTC is very generous with future nurses, and I was told that one of our local hospitals will pay for nursing school if the student commits to come back and work there.

There’s a huge shortage of nurses, and it’s growing. Have you gone to Fastweb and looked there, emphasizing your interest in nursing?

There’s a thread on this forum called “My daughter wants to be a nurse” or something like that with a lot of useful information.

Look into community colleges that have 2 year programs. The tuition is reasonable and you can start working with your RN and have the hospital pay for your BSN.
