Hickory Farms Sale

My HF order arrived today–perfect timing for Friday night with a bunch of teenage boys!

Don’t understand the split shipping charge. We were charged a shipping charge for each of the addresses we sent to (which was a lot of different folks). I don’t mind, just wondering for future knowlege. The guy who took our oder didn’t mention we could save by somehow splitting an order.

Oh well, it is an amazing deal. So far, haven’t heard that anyone has received their giftboxes yet but expect to very soon, as it sounds like lots of others have received their gift boxes.

Mine came today. Guess what we’re having for dinner! I don’t know if by boys have received theirs yet.

UPS says they delivered to my son, haven’t heard from the boy, hope he bothers to check the mailbox area. (sigh)

DD got her HF and pears today. The ones coming to home haven’t arrived. The packages going to the nieces and nephews were delivered yesterday per the UPS tracker. Not surprisingly, I haven’t actually heard from any of them ;(

Per the UPS website, DS’s package was delivered today. Hope he picked it up so it doesnt sit in the school P.O. all weekend. I did call the customer service folks today. They said they’d apply the credit to my account for the discount that wasn’t applied, and that I should loook for it on my credit card in 48 hrs (does that include weekends?)

If you missed this treat sending opportunity, here is a nice Valentine’s day treat, but at 23.95 including shipping, it is not nearly as much of a bargain:

Update:
DS bought some crackers to go with all the cheese in the package (which he referred to as “massive” and had his floormates in for a cheese and cracker food fest.

I’ll watch my credit card bill in the next few days to see if/when the refund appears.
I didn’t get as good a deal as some of you did on those $3-5 packages, but the cheese conoisseurs pkg, at 50% off, was still a good deal. Thanks, OP!

I haven’t heard yet if my daughter received hers yet. I’m afraid it is waiting as she is at a tournament yesterday and today. How was the cheese packaged? Were there cold gel things in it to keep it cool?

The packing boxes had a sticker that said to refrigerate upon receipt. However, each individual package of sausage and cheese said to refrigerate after opening. I went ahead and put it all in the refrigerator, but I question whether I needed to.

Over30, it all depends on conditions where the food items will be stored. If you live where it’s hot and humid, things go bad more quickly than if it’s cooler. In general, if you have the space to refrigerate everything, they will keep longer (tho cheeses do very well in the freezer also & then don’t mold). Sausage doesn’t generally need refrigeration until after opening, so if space it tight, you can wait until you open to refrigerate/freeze.

My 2 boxes arrived today, and they included a third at no charge. I have a massive amount of food. I purchased one for 3.75 (D’s which arrived last week at the dorm) one for 5 and one for 7.50. Got 15% off, they included a fourth at no charge. I feel guilty. And the summer sausage is divine. I don’t eat food like that often, but as a treat, it is the best made, ever. And with the fact it comes in turkey now, I don’t have to feel as guilty. However, I opened up the beef first. The cheese is very good as well. There is not a “cheese food” in the bunch. We got a gift box as a gift from Figi this Christmas, and it iwas no where near as good as the Hickory Farms food. We are eating cheese and sausage for dinner tonight :). There is enough for Super Bowl, for anotehr care package f0or D at dance marathon time… And the expiration dates are many months away.

HImom, we were told the shippinng charge that goes on your credit card is for the total order, and is NOT the individual charges that show up on each email invoice to each address. Check, but I think you got a discounted shipping charge, but an invoice that reflected something different. Our invoices had a note to IGNORE the individual shipping charges, and that the bill/charge was the discounted total rate. And it was true for us. If your actual charge is different (higher) than the call them.

Wow, how did you score a free extra box of food? We ordered a ton of boxes and so far have not gotten any free boxes. We’re pretty happy with what we did order & those who have received them have been quite impressed and pleased. I shared my box with dad & his secretary (we each got one sausage & she took a block of cheese). Don’t really NEED all of the items in our box but the price WAS irresistable. Don’t understand why some folks have received their packages while others haven’t, but I guess it’s the whim of the shipping folks. We placed the orders all at the same time & one in CO & AZ & HI have received their boxes. I think one of the CA folks did as well but the others haven’t let me know if they’ve gotten their boxes–FL & another CA & DC.

Still waiting on my small credit for the “sizzler” sourcecode. They said it porcessed yesterday, but it hasnt hit my credit card yet.

Wow, thanks hmom5. This looks like something my kid will eat - fruit and breads!

Have you ever ordered from them?

I have received things from my sister many times from Wolferman’s. Their things are delicious and very good quality.

Wolfermans have the biggest english muffins I have ever seen. I remember they were good. Its been a few years.

Yes,it’s the English muffins that are their signature. Very tasty. Their jams, spreads are good too. They also have scones, etc.
