High School Achievements

I had this idea for a long time, but basically it’s like Xbox 360 achievements: things that are hard and annoying to do, but you feel rewarded, except that this is the high school version, so here are some ideas:

Ideas:
-Pull an all nighter the night before a test (no sleeping at all) and get a 100% on that test.
-Get 12 hours of sleep in one school night (excluding Sunday night)
-Successfully beg to a teacher to delay an assignment by a day or so because you have real life issues (lying, so this could be dangerous and risky)
-Get a 105% in an honors/AP class

Those are some of my ideas. Share any ideas and funny stories about crazy things you’ve done.

Well, I managed to get exactly 105% in AP Micro this year. Our teacher scored every test using the second-highest score as the total. Needless to say, I got the highest score on all but one test, and there were about six tests total.

He also gave an actual AP exam as our final exam, and I got a 57/60. However, the total he used was 47. So, a 57/47 for me. Quite generous. Every 100% I got on regular assignments would only bring my grade down. But now I’m bragging.

I’ve also pulled the occasional all-nighter for essays or other projects whose time requirement I underestimated. However, I’ve never stayed up excessively late to study, because it’s more detrimental than beneficial if you go into a test completely tired and unable to focus. Plus, 100% is probably hard to get on any test that’s worth studying all night for.

Personally, I feel I should be rewarded for taking two AP exams on a Monday (the very first day of exams this year), missing the rest of the week and the weekend for a competition in D.C., and then taking three exams the week after I got back, plus a make-up the week after that. Plus, I had teachers who constantly bugged me about work I missed while I was gone. I honestly just ignored everything, basically telling my teachers I’ve got more important things to worry about, just so I could study for my AP exams.

I’ve done the first three! that makes me feel like a lazy whining slacker.

Other noteworthy accomplishments to add (i haven’t done all of these)

–hanging out with a teacher outside of school
–racking up more than 20 absences/tardies and still getting ok citizenship
–getting into a class despite not meeting prereqs

I have
-Not studied for a final and gotten a 98%
and
-Convinced a teacher that our test was the next class a few times (that took the entire class)
