Out of all the schools i’m looking at, really only 1 I could commute to, and it’s in Boston. lolnope not sitting in traffic for an hour when I live 20 minutes away.

Doesn’t help that I don’t have my license, don’t have a car, and hate driving. Could take the T…ohwait, all we have is the bus to Alewife in my town. So it’s just not an option, as much as I wish it was.

Indeed. Also, I don’t think I could live with my family while going to college. It’s already bad enough that I have a summer job and am still expected to do the same things I would do if I wasn’t doing anything. It makes me sound ungrateful, but obviously I can’t go to X place if i’m at work…

Yeah I completely understand… The only way i’m not dorming is if I can’t afford it. But thats why I’m applying to either Binghamton or Geneseo just incase because it’ll be cheap to dorm with instate tuiton… I heard that some schools won’t accept students that need too much financial aid, not sure if its true or not, so i’m leaving my options open.

I totally know what you mean. Most of the schools i’m trying for are public because the tuition is a lot cheaper, plus I get a tuition waiver at MA publics (it’s only $1.5k/yr but i’ll take it). At the same time i’m applying to some really expensive colleges because MA state schools are notorious for giving no aid.

Yeah, I wish Syracuse had cheaper instate tuition instead of being a Private school Would be a lot cheaper for us New Yorkers lol. And 1.5k/year is better than nothing so why not take advantage of it

Probably not, I would think the sample is going to be very similar, if not the same.
Gotta be up in 4 hours to leave for a 7 hour car trip to VA to see JMU, woops lol.

Oh boy, sitting in a car. Did a ton of that in the past week.

Also, i’m having another one of those crises where i’m not sure if I can go to college for my major or just if I can go period. This montb’s culprit is the 60k in loans i’ll have to take out if I go anywhere besides a CC.

Oh boy. I got a call from my guidance counselor for the dreaded schedule conflicts.

I can’t take Journalism and Japanese together so I chose to drop Journalism and take AP Literature instead because Japanese is the king of all classes.

Oh I hate scheduling conflicts I’m praying that I don’t have any. It especially sucks when you’re left with a spot and you have to fill it with a class you loathe simply cuz all the good classes are full by the time your counselor calls you :(

At least your guidance counselor tells you about conflicts. My guidance counselor just puts us into random classes, like deciding to put me in photography instead of AP Biology.

I already know I’m going to have scheduling conflicts.
I signed up for AP Cal AB, AP Cal BC, AP Eng, AP Chem, AP Gov, Hon Journ, Hon Art.
I’m willing to not do BC if it comes down to it, and I kinda wanna switch Art out for AP Euro but I won’t unless I don’t get the teacher I want.

Proud to say for the first year I have no scheduling issues! Honestly everyone was surprised, but i’m mostly thanking the scheduling gods right now. It’s not the best schedule ever (lunch then anatomy, ick), but at least it works!
