High School Class of 2013

Pretty sure that I’m the youngest in this thread, haha. I turn 17 on May 17th =P

^I turned 17 on in June so nope

I think benfster means next May 17th… As in May 17th, 2013…

The fact that I’m going to be 17 for two months while going to college in NYC will suck. My birthday is at the end of October. Darn.

I guess it’s kind of a good thing to be older. I’ve just always been asked if I’ve been held back. It’s very annoying. When I went to a private school I had some kids tell me I had to have been held back. (I was the oldest in my grade there; each grade had 8-10 people.)

Wow 8 people in one grade is crazy…
And yeah, being 17 in college is both good and bad. I’ll be 17 for four months of college :l

I think in my first year, there were 6 in my grade. The 9th grade class had only 1 person at one point. The most kids in a grade at that school was 15 or 16.

age is just a number  it all depends on maturity. I don’t think people automatically get really mature at 18. that’s just the number this culture uses.

Yeah thats very true. Although 18 is a good number to be when the roomate and friends are going out to places that require a certain age. Oh well, i’ll survive haha

Yuuup. That’s what I meant.

@stressedoutt Oh, I definitely agree. It’s just going to be a bit difficult being 17 in the city since I probably won’t be able to do as much as far as nightlife is concerned, as my friends who will already be 18.

What are the benefits of being 17 in college? haha, I can’t think of any. My birthday’s in august, so I might be 17 for orientation, but I’ll be 18 most of the time.

Hmm, maybe graduating from college a bit younger than your friends? I don’t know :stuck_out_tongue: Atleast you’ll be 18 by basically the start of college.
Anybody thinking of doing any varsity, club, or intramural sports?

Did anyone watch the Brazil-Egypt game? :D

Nope, was it on tv?

And yeah, I’m definitely gonna do some kind of intramural - maybe club - sports. I’d have to look a list to see which ones I would pick out first, haha. Probably like soccer and baseball or something like that…

Any of you in New England, stay safe! There are tornadoes popping up in NY.

Yeah, I heard. Scary stuff! My friend caught a pretty crazy picture of a funnel cloud the other day. Weird weather as of late.

Same, I want the feeling of traveling to other schools to play with my team experience without the complete time commitment of a varsity team. Probably basketball or maybe i’ll try something completely different like rugby haha
And wow, I live in NY and haven’t even heard of the watches going on :P

Yay I love storms.

We have an airport in our town and two planes have gone down in the past hour. In both cases, everyone inside of them has died. It’s really sad and scary here
