Yeah all of my schools are within a 6-7ish hour car ride and most of them are only 2-3ish hours.

Well DC is like five hours away, so.

I’m applying to the only good school that’s close [like an hour away], and then everything else is far.

My furthest school is 3 hours lol. But then I guess if I lived in a place that didn’t have as much as ny I’d probably look elsewhere. I guess for me personally I couldn’t see being that far. Even like 4 hours in either direction puts me at cow town, Boston, long island or Utica or PA None of which I am interested in.

Meh, New York.

So what is everyone up to right now? I’ve been doing a lot of drawing! I need to do more than I have been doing, like 2 hours a day, but it’s been fun. So what are you up to? Volunteering? Online Classes? Chillin’?

Watching the Parade of Nations like everyone should be.

Today? Today I walked some dogs at the shelter, and today I’ve started getting into watching Fullmetal Alchemist (the original show), and it’s pretty awesome. I’ve also done more college research as per the usual…and in a few minutes i’m gonna go watch the olympics!

There aren’t really very many good schools in FL. I don’t really like the south anyhow. With the exception of Duke, all of the schools I’m applying to are in the northeast. (Penn/NJ, and further north)

I’d love to go to school close to home, if home wasn’t in FL, lol.

Clinic volunteering, some tutoring, then hung out with some friends. Now I’m lying in bed, reading The Hunger Games and seeing what all the hype’s about…

Lol idk why but I’m just laying here on the floor of my room on the computer. I should be doing my summer reading but for some reason this makes me happy, just to lie here.

Meeting the PRESIDENT.

^Really? Why(how)?

Absolutely nothing…it’s really bad, actually. I’m going to see Duke and Georgetown in about a week. And I’m getting my permit soon [super late…I’m 17 :/]

My summer started pretty slowly, but it picked up once July came around…

I was at Cornell for CURIE Academy… Got back Sunday, and I’m leaving again tomorrow to MIT for a week… <3

I really liked Cornell, btw<3 CC makes it seem as if Cornell is horrible and doesn’t deserve to be an ivy league, but it’s actually an awesome school. I really loved it. :p

OOH, I haven’t been here in a while, so maybe this has been discussed (didn’t bother to catch up because there’s just too much), but who has done any essays? D:

My farthest school is 6 and a half hours, everything else is 3-5ish… Besides the local ones that I do not want to go to lol. As for the summer, ehhh. Been looking at a few schools which is a lot of fun. Leaving for PA today to go to family’s house then seeing Penn State UP on Monday
As for essays, nope lol

You went to Cornell’s summer college? I got accepted there but Brown offered a full scholarship, so that’s where I went.

I liked Cornell when I toured there. The people were very nice. We read the schedule wrong and went on a day when there was no tour, and an admissions officer actually took the time to talk to us about Cornell one-on-one. Plus, the campus is beautiful (upstate NY is so pretty!)

I haven’t started on any essays. I still have no clue what I’m going to write about. I have enough “life experience” to write something really good, but I don’t know. 4 days until the common app comes out!

My mom was accepted into cornell
but she chose to go to TEMPLE
how messed up is that

That is pretty weird.

Aren’t you a freshie? (Not that you’re not welcome here, but just wondering)

I’m finishing up college essays and finishing the last two weeks of National Government at a local university.
Everything is going well so far! I had a good summer compared to others…I can’t wait for next summer cause I’ll be going to Brazil for World Youth Day!
SO, that’s sort of an amazing grad gift!
