@ForeIN: You can do whatever you want when you’re 18. No more curfew. No more parents (well they no longer can force you to do something but it best be advisable that you build respect and trust before you leave them for good.)

Still in junior year, buy my grades are so crappy. I want to be a male nurse or do something in the medicine field. My overall GPA is only a 3 (out of 4). No extracurricular, and no AP classes. Havent taken the SATs yet (hopefully I get around 1800-2000). I also dont want to go to a community college sigh

I’m really into political science, so being able to actually participate in government is exciting to me. :)

Guys- literally ~7 months until we start filling out college applications… :O

7 months? I think I’m gonna start in July or something. If I’m gonna apply 3 or 4 places ED/EA, I’d like to get started early.

I’m definately starting in the summer. I will allow myself to procrastinate in other places, but not on my college applications.

I can’t believe its so soon…I don’t want to move on…I want to stay in high school forever!

I’m nervous about that. D:
What schools you guys looking at? At my school, we actually have to make a presentation end of junior year that states what schools we’re planning on applying to.

Me: PLU and UW Tac as my safeties, UW Seattle as my match, and HMC, JHU, and Rice are all reaches. When I say reach, I mean reach.

Protip: Even if you say you won’t procrastinate on something, you will.

I pretty much know where I want to apply.
Safety: UConn, University of Vermont
Match: Tufts, University of Michigan, Boston University
Reach: MIT, JHU, Dartmouth, Georgetown

First choice is MIT or Dartmouth. I’m thinking I wont apply ED anywhere because I’m going to want to compare financial aid, but I’m doing EA to MIT, UConn, Georgetown, and Michigan. That way if im not getting in I can apply to a few more schools/ improve my application.

ZombieDante you want to stay in high school? I want to go to college ASAP…

First choice: Penn
Top Choices (most are reaches): UNC, UVA, Georgetown, Michigan, Cornell
Safeties/non top choices: Richmond, Wake Forest, Lehigh, Villanova

Top choice: MIT or Harvard (although they’re extremely high reaches)
Other top choices: Boston College, Dartmouth, Yale, Columbia, UChicago and Amherst.
Safeties/Matches: Northeastern, Binghamton and Stony Brook.
Definitely going EA at MIT.

7 months? Some of the colleges I want deadline are like Jan or Dec lol
1st Choice: Purdue Univertisty (Main)
Other Choices: Ball State, and university of southern indiana
Safely: Purdue Univertisty (Cal), Valpo

Early action though…^

No they do not offer early admission if that what you’re asking?
Unless you mean If I can do it before then yes, because it is a deadline.

But why???

^^ To get away from the parents lol.

^But why?

Lol but seriously they do stuff for you.

I love my parents, but I think it’s time to go lol. I at least feel grown up enough for some independence. Also, there are so many things that I can’t do right now because they’re “frowned upon” by my parents.

Independence, more responsibility, better education, people I can relate with, awesome people that are 2000x more accomplished than I am, college athletics, the chance to do things I would never dream of at home (I could name a million, but I won’t!), and much much more.
