High School Class of 2014

Strong 1600 people.

My school has a very strong guidance department but I still know of some people with outside counselors. Thankfully my school has a required class to help you complete the common app/essay/prepare for interviews so I haven’t seen a need for outside help other then on the essays.

My one friend who go a perfect score, I found out she took 2 prep courses. I took one in school that was a part of my schedule for free and then an extra one, but we got a deal because my twin sister and I took it together. My town is pretty upper middle class so they’re common even though I don’t consider myself that. I’m probably going to get the most FA compared to most of my friends except if my one friend gets a lot of merit

My dad is making me take a SAT prep course… It starts the 24th and ends Oct. 3rd :(

Last weekday of summer. It’s bittersweet. I don’t think my schedule will be too tough this year, so I’m going to focus my real efforts on AP Calc and Physics. AP Stats should be pretty easy, and I imagine AP Lit isn’t that tough either, but I’m not sure about that one. All my other classes will be ridiculously easy.

just curious…how far is everyone on their college essays?

Common app essay: completed
Supplemental essays: no where near finished.

I’m doing well in my ACT prep, so a 33+ is in my future :)

Didn’t get into WoW, but that’s fine. I sort of lost interest in Williams and the only reason I didn’t cut it from my list is because of my mentorship program, where I’m required to apply to 5 partner schools. Williams being one of them.

Im also working on the act and trying to get a 32+ I plan on finishing my common app essay soon as well as some of the supplemental essays.

I’m done with the Common App essay and four supplement essays. I still have four supplements to write.
I was really productive at the beginning of the summer, but it seems all the words have congealed in my head and I don’t remember how to write. And of course I saved the most difficult prompts for last.

Ermergerd, this week while I was on vacation, I wrote a total of 514 words for my Common App essay.

Seriously though, I have no idea how to express myself. I feel like a major derp while writing my essays.

Ehmergerd, finished my Common App Essay.

650 exactly.

This is a recurring trend for me, by the way…

Mine’s 410. Not sure if it’s too short.

Mine’s hitting 601 words.

My common app. essay has been finished, but I haven’t even begun my supplemental essays yet. There’s time (although, it seems to be quickly slipping away)…

My Common App essay is 576 words.
My UChicago extended essay is 783.

9999 thoooooooooooooo

Yea so I really dont know what to write here.

Lol, derp.

^ Shakin my head
