I have 16 right now. Might take off Northwestern. Meh… But their supplement is so simple, unlike UChicago. #thestruggleisreal

People at my school are just crazy… jk
but the reason why they have 25+ even though the common app “only” allows 20 is because they have other applications, like RPI’s Candidate Choice and other simpler ones.

I’m probably submitting 12 applications.

I feel like I’ve obsessed over college apps all summer and I’m starting to forget about them now that school’s started. Too bad I haven’t really done anything productive yet… #yeahprocrastination

Colleges keep emailing me offering fee waivers and “special” applications and I’m like, please stop making me question my list!

I hate these essays. I need to really get them edited.

UChicago’s supplement has really been a struggle for the past few weeks. It’s too late to cross them off my list though. I have to apply there now. ALTHOUGH I kind of love my response to their “share your favorite thing essay”. I truly think this will get my application remembered because I doubt any other UChicago applicant would even think about answering it that way.

I have 15, but might add just one more. My friend also has sixteen so I’m not totally alone

I have 13 right now and I kind of want to cut it down. If I get into my SCEA school, that would save me a ton of time/effort/money.

I have nine schools at the moment. I’m applying to seven EA.

7 or 8 for me :D

I am not applying to any other schools until December 15. If I am EVER so lucky to get into Yale SCEA, buh-bye other colleges. I might apply to a few other top choices, but not the long list I have now. If I got into Yale, I would be so euphoric that people would think I was high.

I’d really like to apply to Caltech and/or MIT early, but I don’t know. I still need to take the SAT Physics subject test in October, and I probably wouldn’t be able to see my score before sending it out. I’m a bit nervous about it, seeing as I’ve never taken an Honors/AP/IB physics class (these are not offered at my school) and in order to be realistically competitive at these schools, I need a 770+. On the other hand, an early acceptance would really help save some time and money on other applications.

I’ve decided not to do any early action/decision, because firstly, I am so jaded at this point that I don’t have a dream school, hence loads of indecision if I were to do SCEA or Early Decision. Secondly, if I were to do EA/ED, I would have needed to get my recommendation letter stuff in two days ago but since it has this part parents need to fill out and they didn’t do it, I couldn’t. Thirdly, I would have probably done EA to a bunch of schools because of my indecision mentioned in my first reason. That probably would’ve done nothing to my extremely slim chances.

SO jealous of VanillaThunder.

Lol, I have been procrastinating hardcore, and I hate it.

I’m EAing Georgetown just because… there’s no benefit to doing it lolol, just an excuse to get it out of the way. Everything else will probably be done last minute, but I’d like to finish before winter break.

Also, I will never get into Harvard SCEA (lol, people on CC have pretty much told me that I’m underqualified for SCEA), which really saddens me, but it’s life.

If by some miracle (these never happen to me) I am accepted, SOO much money will be saved.

Also, I think my friends are getting annoyed with my self-hatred and lack of confidence when it comes to college admissions (chances, essays, etc.) so I think I’m going to try my best to shut up, graduate, and get the hell out of Dodge.

I’m doing priority to UMD because they fill almost all their spots that way and EA for MIT because why not? And they have no essays so their app will surely be done.

Lol, my life is pitiful. Instead of doing my math hw, I just spent 45 minutes watching videos of people’s reactions getting into Harvard, Yale, etc.

Is this what my life has come to?

@collegeluva101 Same. I just watched the “Ivy Dreams” documentary.

I’m not applying to any reaches EA or ED (unless its part of Posse). I really want them to see my senior grades so they can correlate with my great 2nd semester junior grades. Plus the GPA boost will be nice.

I think the only “early” application I’ll do is Priority Review at U of Rochester.

lol, have y’all seen “Georgia Tech Freshman Convocation - Epic Sophomore Welcome Speech”? It kind of makes me want to go to GaTech. A little.

Yes, I also want colleges to see my first semester senior grades because I had a kind of iffy junior year. It was of course justified, with personal/medical issues, but still, I’d like them to see I can do this college thing.
