my school is opposite. the math is super easy, it’s ridiculous.

^^^I haven’t even thought about SAT II’s omg I need to take atleast two but idk which ones they offer…and do you need to take the class in order to take the test? I took Scholars (its like advanced honors) Bio already so I’m not sure

Which ones do they offer?

My schedule:
AP World History
English III Honors
Trigonometry
Chemistry
PE
Music Theory
Girls Chorus
Voice

Not that impressive. -sighs-

Oh and French 3. Forgot!!!

Junior year: 3-4 APs, depending on how I like my first class sophomore year
Senior: 5 AP

APUSH, AP World History, and AP Chem are the hardest ones at my school

@ImSoAmbitious, hehe, I thought I was too until I came to the school that i am currently attending. There are about 850 kids in my class, and i’m pretty sure that at least 5 of them have taken Linear Algebra/Diffy Q (or equivalent) this past year.

@Awflapjackz, AP world is hard. A friend of mine (rising junior) took it and she got a 4 as well. After AP world, Euro should be relatively easier for you.

I will take APUSH next year. I took AP gov last year. I got a 5. It’s not too hard. but a lot of things to memorize.

@luv2sk8 I hope so. I’m really hoping to get 5s next year. I’m excited for Euro, but dreading APUSH. -___-

@Thiruvin Are you serious? Thats absolutely crazy. We only have one student who took BC Calc as a freshman.

@shaywood we almost have the same course load.
I’m taking
Adv. Honors Trigonometry/algebra II
Adv. Honors Chemistry
Adv. Honors French III&IV
AP world history
Adv. Honors English III&IV
Marching Band
Regular Band

The advanced honors classes are like higher/10 times harder than the regular honors classes so they’re called “scholars” classes lol so yeah. I don’t like calling them scholars classes though haha

@imsoambitious, Ikr! This school (even though is public) gave me a reality check. so like 5 kids are ahead of me, ~10 are at my level, and another 10-15 who are 1 year behind me. Lesson learned: if you think you are smart, there’s prolly someone out there who could kick your ***. ;P

@collegefountain , @Diverergentpaths & @Imsoambitious, I’m planning on starting the Model UN Club at my school with my friend next year! (hope it goes well)

My course requests for next year are:

Chemistry 10H(onors)
Algebra II/Trigonometry 10H
English 10H
Global History 10H
French B2H
Theatre Arts
Phys Ed. 10-12
German B1H (hopefully…)

My school decided to mess up the foreign language program…starting in 7th grade, students can choose between Spanish, Italian, French, or German. Starting in high school, they could also choose another foreign language, and they would be placed in the B1H of that language. But the Spanish and Italian teachers decided they didn’t like that anymore. So, starting next year, students that take a second foreign language will be placed in their own special classes. But not enough students signed up to take German or French as a second foreign language, so now students that want to take a second foreign language can ONLY take Spanish or Italian. I’m pretty upset because I wanted to take an interesting language like German, but I’m even more sorry for the Spanish or Italian kids that wanted to challenge themselves…(Spanish and Italian are like 70% the same). However, my guidance counselor is doing what he can to try and “sneak” me into the B1H…

I just finished 9th grade which was quite interesting (I took Studio Art and Digital Photography), My school has pool as a required class, so that was VERY interesting, but inconvenient (I was always showing up to bio class late and wet on B-days for the last half of the year, when we took the class).

argh! Practically everyone else has AP’s…my school has AP World as a 2-year 9th & 10th grade course and AP Bio available to those who score 90 or higher on the Liv. Env. regents. I got a 96 on the Liv. Env. regents, and my teacher was saying I should take AP Bio, but students who were in it said one should take Chem first, so thats what I’m doing. And I see some of you actually have AP foreign language classes…quelle chance! Oh well, it could be worse…there’s a suburban ghetto school 4 miles way that has absolutely no AP’s and up until recently only had Spanish for foreign language (just last year they added French).

Also next year I’ll be the treasurer of the gay-Straight Alliance club, and in the Drama, Science Contest (olympiad, science bowl, envirothon, etc), and Environmental clubs.

Columbia- since we’re both starting model UN, we should pm this fall about how it’s going :)

Sent from my ADR6400L using CC

My school is stupid about APs. For all except the history and English classes, you have to take the class the year after you’ve taken the honors class. For the English, you have to be a junior.

@DivergentPaths LOL thats how it is at all schools I assume you mean like you are required to take Honors chem before AP Chem? If so, that is how it is at all schools.

^^ Not at my school :D.

@HobbitTon, Lucky! most all AP classes have a honors class as a prerequisite, only way to get out of taking the prerequisite is if you are good friends with the gifted/talented coordinator lol.
