Isn’t that down to the breadth vs. depth thing though? That seems like an awful lot.

Again, I know its hard to explain, but I have a lot of time, I only sleep 4 hours per night. I enjoy these activities, and I don’t do a single one that I don’t enjoy. I hope you can understand, and I hope colleges will see that I am involved in each and everyone.

@Imsoambitious: You have great ECs!

Oh my gosh, 4 hours? If I get less than 7, I start glaring at people and giving them the “why are you still talking” look. How do you manage that?

ahh, I don’t know before the past year I always needed 8-10. At the beginning of last year i needed to wake up at 5 AM to catch my bus at 6 and I automatically made the adjustment and survived sleeping at 12. This gradually fell to 4 hours a night later in the school year.

so how are your guys’ standardized tests going, I don’t have to worry because i took a practice SAT(2340) and PSAT(240) and got good scores, hopefully they will hold up for the actual tests.

Thanks for everyone who replied! Man, so many people on here make me feel crappy due to how much they are taking on. You guys are all doing so much…but do you ever have time for friends and a social life? I’m not trying to be mean, but that’s an awful lot of work!

@Yeah I definetly have a good social life, especially as my friends the same stuff as me and I work in the night

@ImSoAmbitious, wow those are incredible scores! I just took a practice SAT (no studying whatsoever) and got a 2050, i was content as long as i had broken 2000, but i am definitely aiming to improve, and i think the summer laziness definitely had an effect on a late august test. And that’s a lot of clubs!! You can enjoy them all, and be dedicated to them all, but i would suggest really picking out a few that you really want to go far in, because when it comes down to leading clubs, its exhausting to do that with more than a few…
just my opinion :)

@ImSoAmbitious tell me how HOSA goes! I’m in it at my school and it’s been fun so far

I love Hosa! I’m an officer.

I took the SAT in 7th grade and got 2100. I’m not too concerned.

Yeah, I think I did well on SAT because the math is really really easy, and my old private middle school prepared me really well for CR and Writing. They had 2 times as many English periods as other classes. I used to hate it, but now it is paying off. I did not study at all, so I think I can get a 2400 with some prep/natural improvement. 2100 is great for 7th grade!, and yeah, I do like many of the clubs, and we are meeting online for many of them. I do all these clubs because have diverse interests and I like them all, and since my school has the dedicated EC period, I do not want to waste it, and would like to go to a cub every day. Also a club meets like every week or 2, so its not bad at all.

Also, anyone doing HOSA, would you mind telling me more what you do in the club. I am drafting the proposal for my school administration, but it kinda seems boring on paper? Could some please give me some more details on what goes on? When you med? What you do?

Thanks

We did competitions like medical math and stuff.
And we helped with special olympics, teaching elementary students when to call 911, learning parts of the body and their functions.
We went to hospitals and we christmas caroled to the intensive care unit. We made a lot of cards for war vets and cancer patients and did visits.

Like AlexHarper said. We also do blood drives with the Red Cross club, fundraise, volunteer, etc. We haven’t competed in anything yet, though. Our club ran its first year last year.

ok thanks, that helps

Schedule is here!! Finally :)

AP Physics B (takes up two classes I think)
AP Calc AB
AP Psych
Honors English II
Honors French III
Honors World (possibly changing to honors civics and economics)
Random Elective (possibly changing to student council)

Also probably doing :
Swim team
Track and field
Finishing DNC internship
Young Life
Student council
Idk what else, wanna join some clubs… But… Ehh…

Also, last SAT I got a 1820… My CR scores were terrible (missed practically every one) but for math I probably missed 2-3 of the ones I did… I’m hoping to get 2100+ … I’m confident I can get my math scores 750+ and read and writing 650+ so we’ll see :)

@Teaspoons, Nice with the Calc AB!

More like nice with the AP Physics! :)

Well, long story short, AP Environmental Science got cancelled because only like 3-5 people were interested in the class. I decided to switch into AP Bio over AP Stats (both sound interesting, and I’ll probably take Stats before I graduate).

My first day is this Wednesday. Ugh.

Here’s the current schedule…

H. English 10
H. U.S History
French III
Chemistry

Pre-Calc

Hardest schedule possible BTW.
