My psat is next wednesday!

So
s mine! My school has a grant that allows all sophomores to take it, free of charge…you can guess how happy that made the kids who normally wouldn
t have taken it and who think they`ll magically get accepted to college after bad grades.

At my school, only juniors take PSAT (sophomores take PLAN, so that’s what I’ll be taking on Wednesday instead). But I already registered for the PSAT at another school on Saturday, so I’m all set. The thing is, though, I only found out two or three days ago that I’d be doing this, so I have to cram in a lot of study time between now and then, especially for vocab…

Yeah my PSAT Wednesday too (most schools are). I wanna break 200 but I don’t wanna study…I’ll probably go over my wrong answers on the practice one and that’s it.

Yeah, I
m not studying TOO much, but am using the little prep book we got…I mean, Ican take it again next year, and there
s always the coveted SAT too :D.

Ughh did so sucky on english test and paper… why oh why am i so bad at english…

Hi those of you who are taking PSAT - what do you expect to get?

I want a 200, but expect a 190something

I honestly don
t even know. I mean, I
d love a 200, but I don
t know, haven
t taken a practice one yet. Planning on studying this weekend.

For the PSAT I’m not going to study…well except for the SAT Question of the Day App which I’ve been using for over a year…I wanna see where I need improvement in…
I take the PSAT on October 20th (yep, I have to go to school on a Saturday!!!)

@CE527M, your apostrophes look strange. :D

I expect to score over 180.
Really for me, this is all about getting down with the psat and understanding how to maximize my score. Of course i live in Mississippi and lucky me the cutoff is around 204-5. I would love to be able to be a NMF.
It costs 15$ for me and i have to take it at a local catholic high school.

What do you expect to be your highest and lowest Section?
Highest: Writing (around 72-80 in Practice)
Lowest: Reading (around 63-70 in Practice)

@shmluza…After you said that, I scrutinized each users apostrophes, and realize you are right…strange, isn`t it?

I’m hoping for 200+, but seeing as I’ve barely studied at all, that’s probably not the most realistic goal…

YEAH, IT`S FRIDAY!!!
I think you can all tell I`m very happy...

Unfortunately, I have to get up at 6:45 tomorrow…

^getting up at 5.50. It sucks having a job sometimes…
That also means that if I were to go to sleep now, I’d still only get 6 and a half hours :/

Ha, what time is it over there?

CE527M, lol your 's!
(BTW, why do you have to get up that early?)

We were given this llllllong take home AP chem test!! And today we have a out of town band competition!

Ha, yeah I was extremely happy.

Actually, I had to get up at 6:20, not 6:45 like I said. And I had to get up because my church was having this flea market type thing they have each year, and my youth group sells food and drinks in order to raise money for our mission trips we go on during the summer. And I worked the early shift. It was COLD too!

Have fun with that AP Chem test. The AP Chem class at my high school went to D.C for a couple days this past week…lucky! Better than a test.

I take the PSATs next Saturday. I’ve been studying for it somewhat. The Princeton Review is really good with tips.
