High School Class of 2015

Hey all, I’ve just recently returned to CC and wanted to stop by the HSC15’ thread!

I would contend that I am amongst the taller girls in my region-- 5’8". The majority of the girls (ages 14-16) out here, fall between 5’4"-57".

I was wondering, have any of you considered leaving secondary school early? As in taking your state’s GED equivalent and continuing on to community college? Or, attending an early college program? The structure of traditional schools has never quite been fitting for me, therefore, I may opt to bypass high school or find a more suitable alternative.

@starkali…no I
d never get a GED (no offense to those who have them or anything…), there
s less opportunities for employment, and besides that, I want to go to the Naval Academy, so a GED won
t work anyhow. But I don
t really see the point in dropping out just to get a GED when you have a chance to get a diploma. I mean, a GED isn`t better than a diploma, and 2nd of all, my parents would never let me anyhow (not that I want to).

My .02 anyways.

isnt a GED the equivalent of a 9th grade education?

Are any of you doing the IB? Just wondering because, depending on which school I end up at next year, I may be doing it.

Hey guys, now that the first grading period is coming to a close how are your grades? Are you happy with them?

@kypdurron…it`s the equivalent of a high school education (General Equivelancy Diploma [General Educational Development - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](General Educational Development - Wikipedia)

@UKgirl....my school doesn`t have IB

Posted twice by accident

@jax no I’m not. I have 3 Bs.
Euro: least worried about this one because I have the highest grade the school, so I’m sure it’ll become an A.
Chem hon: 89.7 I’m sure it’ll be an A- but I want a solid A. Me and my lab part joke around too much. My test scores are all A+s but we have some Fs and Ds in our labs.
Spanish II: idk what I’m supposed to have in that class. The teacher is terrible at keep track of assignments. Surprisingly this is the class I’m most worried about.

No, I
m not 3 B
s, only 1 A…and my first B ever in history. NOOOO!

At least only the semester grades count. But this is ridiculous.

My username is simply my school ID number. It’s easy to remember and when I tried to create an account on my phone, it wouldn’t accept anything else I tried (which is odd because my name is very unique).

Yeah, that`s what I put for a lot of things. My passwords are usually my school ID number and a combination of other letters.

my grades… lets see
Geom: A
Al 2: A
Honors History: A
Honors Theology: A
AP Lit: A-
Spanish II: A
AP Gov: A
Chemistry: A

However, i feel my spanish Grade will go down because i am sure i bombed my grammar exam

What exactly does “honors history” cover?

My grades at this point: (I have two more weeks. I hope to pull things up…)

AP chem: B (89)
APUSH: A
H. English: B (89)
H. Precalc: A
H. French: A
Health: A
Gym: A

I
m SOOOO happy I don
t have to go to school tomorrow :D. Have fun, everyone.

^I don’t have school tomorrow either!!! Although I’ll probably spend tomorrow just doing homework, because my weekend so far has not been productive whatsoever in the homework department.

Ah, so jealous! I have quarter exams for every class this week in addition to the “PLAN”/Pre-ACT test we have to take. Sigh, at least I have next Monday off…

^The PLAN is a complete joke. At least to me it was. Don’t worry too much about it. It doesn’t count for anything important, as far as I know.

Yeah, I
ve done no homework at ALL this weekend, even though I told myself I
d do it on Friday night or Saturday…I have to finish watching “Julius Caesar” for “extra-credit”-real-credit and math homework.

My school doesn`t even do the PLAN.

My school decided to administer to all sophomores the PLAN, instead of something useful like the PSAT. I should’ve just stayed home that day, I swear…
