<p>Anyone else get the President’s Education Award in the mail today?</p>
<p>So today I got cut from basketball. I was his final cut. He had me stay after and told me that if this one junior hadnt shown up yesterday I wouldve made it. He said to come back next year. I’m surprisingly not that upset. Everyone who I saw afterwards said I was walking around looking so confident and happy that theyd think that I was starting haha. Whatever I’ll live :D</p>

<p>I actually expected to be more upset if I got cut. I actually almost got into a fight afterwards for joking around with some guys that got cut. One of them got mad, and was like “Get out of here. Is everything a joke for you?!”
I said “Wanna hear the joke about the guys that got cut?”
Then he stood up, and I said “Let’s go a couple rounds. Maybe you fight better than you play basketball.”-all with this stupid grin on my face. He just sat down and started sulking again. I just didnt like the guy through all of tryouts- that temper is riduculous. I really had no intention of fighting him haha.</p>
<p>But all is good. I got next year. I’m gonna probably do the winter play now.</p>

Goals for this year: </p>
<p>Straight A’s</p>
<p>Get elected for student council (even if I’m not elected; ill still be put on since I’m one of the hardest working kids… But it’d be nice to see I’m actually voted on)</p>
<p>Make 5s (ill be happy with 4s too though)</p>
<p>Get into beta club (academic) and national honors society.</p>
<p>Make an amazing ceramics piece (maybe take it through to scholastics)</p>

<p>Actually finish the books I want to finish…</p>

-Do well in math class (Well obviously if I want straight A</code>s I have to do well, but in general too)

- Save some money for next summer
- Make it out to Etaples for 17.7, the date my gr-gr-grandfather died there
- Compete in at least 4 more debate comps and come in the top half in all of them

- Find a rowing club who’s lake isn’t still closed from the Olympics…</p>

<p>RoseOak reminded me, I want a 200 on PSAT. That will have me completely satified for this year.</p>
<p>@Ukgirl I always thought about debate. I enjoy arguing. But I don’t usually argue to win, I argue to find compromise (not sure if thats good or bad in debate haha.) I just never wanted to make the time commitment, and pretty much every person I don’t get along with is in it (I get along with mostly everyone, so it’s coincidence that all the people that I dont are in debate.)</p>
<p>Speaking of PSATs, when are you guys receiving your scores? I’m so anxious to see mine as I really hope I got at least a 220…I find it strange how they grade the actual SATs faster than the PSATs…ehh whatever I guess I can stand the wait.</p>
