High School Class of 2015

The cutoff for starting school in CA is actually December 1st, so I guess I could’ve either been the youngest member of 2014, or one of the oldest of 15 (there are older people than me in my class.) but its not as bad as one of my friends of 2012 who turned 20 a month after graduation, but hey he got to be a football star haha. I wish I was 2014. At my school they’re kinda lackluster and lots of stuff would be easier (I say with full confidence that if I was 2014 I’d be student body Vice President right now.) but whatever I’m 2015 and our class is pretty cool so ill live.

Wait a girl was dragged to see the worst crap ever?!?!?

^ Does this surprise you? Discuss.

@goodnoodle…oh, yeah I figured CA might be a little different from VA. Oh man, 20? Wow. C/O 2015 is pretty cool. Eventually we
ll be the graduating class and not sophomores, so it
ll get better.

I pretty much gave up on the Twilight series after seeing how just plain BAD the third movie was. So I didn’t even want to see either Breaking Dawn movie… Wait, no, I lied. I was on a plane going home, and I was completely bored out of my mind with homework, so that was the ONLY reason I watched the first Breaking Dawn. But there is no way that I’m going to waste my money/time with the second. A lot of people at my school have said that it was SOOOO bad!

Some relative on my mom’s side is
studying in Germany 

I saw Breaking Dawn, and I thought it wasn’t too bad actually. Much better than the other 4 films, although still not worth paying for (I didn’t).

Well, being honest, if I had to see them (I already saw the first and third ones…not by willingness, my friends sort of “made me” watch them, and read the books) it was nicer to see them on the big screen, full effect, you know? And the sound effects were really nice and it was really “pretty” I guess, being set in the mountains and all. But I’ve never been one to like the vampire stuff or like something that a billion people like. In short, I don’t like overrated books. Hunger Games is maybe the only exception.

Okay the books are actually good (except the fourth one… Bella’s naked through all of it and there’s a ton of graphic things and sex… Just not my type of book) the movies kinda suck… But honestly the only reason I think they do is because they tries to make everyone super hot… Like every ten seconds a Shirt comes off… Should have been more like an indie film or something and less about ‘I wanna please people with hot guys and random action’.

Hey I have another question. I’m sure some of you guys have taken APs right? Were the tests hard…? I mean for Calc AB this year you only need a 26% to get a 5… And that’s really starting to scare me since I thought the material was pretty easy… :frowning: . I’m really worried about physics (since I think I’ll be unprepared…)… Idk if I’m a good test taker ; I’m mostly in the top 90 percentile for state exams… And I guess I did decent on the SAT (not compared to where I should be for Princeton though )… Sorry I ramble a lot

I’ve taking the AP Biology and AP Human Geography exams, so I can only vouch for those. They were VERY easy. Quite easy to get a 5. The multiple choice for both was a joke, but the FRQs were more difficult.

By the way, I am now officially a blogger for The Huffington Post! Woooooo!

Really they were easy? I’m planning to take both (human geo this year, bio senior year) that’d such a relief

@Hobbit… 'Grats

@Teaspoons…no, this is my first year taking APs so I’m no help.

Nice Hobbit
even though I can not stand that website

^Still, pretty big accomplishment for a sophomore.

But I agree, not very factual website. But blogging’s different. I don’t like the so-called reporters of the website, wouldn’t be bad if they reported facts. But I bet Hobbit will do a great job.

Hobbit you do the coolest stuff. How’d you get that gig?

^haha, yeah the rest of us do like, nothing compared to Hobbit…no offense anybody, but still.

I feel like
My post: oh today was tight, I went to the movies with my friends.
Hobbit: oh cool me too, then I did my Ted conference, and cured cancer. Then I had to figure out what to do with the rest of my day.

Haha

Oh, please, I’m not that special haha. You guys are extraordinary! After I gave my TED talk, and the video went out, it got in the hands of some pretty awesome people. It is opening up even more awesome opportunities. If you guys want to see my TED talk, I could PM you the link.

One word of advice: Associate yourself with the right people and follow your passions. Then you will go far.

Yeah, PM it to me definitely, would love to see it.

And yes, you are awesome.

Yeah associate with the right people and give 'em a few $$ and you’ll go far, hahaha. I know what you mean though, and you’re absolutely right.

@Hobbit Congratulations on your TED talk! I’d really love to see it! Could you PM it to me also? Thanks :)

Thank you! I just sent it over. I would also like your guys feedback on this topic I had in mind. What do you guys feel about empowering young people to do big things? How does a little “Youth Revolution” sound ;)?
