High School Class of 2015

People usually wear them for maybe a year, and then get tired of them. My parents didn’t want to get me one because they said I’d only wear it for a year (that’s what my dad did…) but I insisted, and then gave up and agreed…

Hmm I remember most of them Talking about buying them so I’m assuming they bought them senior year.

Probably. I like getting it now, kind of fun picking it out (of course, as a guy, goodnoodle, you probably don’t like that type of thing, but still) but there’s SO many choices. Stone, cut, what you get on the sides (Journalism and track, woo) Seriously, there’s like, over 200 designs you can choose from to put on the side.

@shmluza I know this seems creepy, but your mom/dad doesn’t by chance post on the “parents of hs class of 2015” thread, do they? When you said you got your first B and mentioned all state band, I was reminded me of the other day when I was bored and looking through the parents thread (haha) and someone was talking about their daughter who is getting her first B because she didn’t hand in one project on time. And they said that their daughter was trying out for all state band. Again, creepy, but I went back and looked for the post after you mentioned both of those things haha and it matches up.

^haha, that’s funny how you try and tone it done “this is creepy, but…” Ha, too funny.

@CE527M haha I know it seems weird, but I always wonder what parents’ opinions are on all of this high school/ college stuff…so yeah…If it is shmluza’s mom/dad, I wonder if she knows. If I found out my mom or dad posted I would probably stalk all of the posts to see what they say about me

^ha, yeah I totally would too, especially since some of the parents really tell what they think of their kid, no sugar-coating it for some of them

I am trying to get my parents involved on this site (not telling them my username, of course) because they don’t know as much as they could about the college process, given the fact they studied in the Caribbean and moved to America years later…

@ lull, I would say it’s competitive in some sense (my friend last year was the second fastest for girls and her time was 5:15 and the fastest was 5:00) but I think it’s less competitive in ways since as long as your close to 7:00 minutes your considered decent (not that I can manage that…). I don’t really care about winning so much as having the sport add to my ECs (that sounds bad… But I do enjoy running! But I probably wouldn’t if it didn’t add to my ECs). I also would probably stick to long distance then since right now I’d much rather run slow for longer than fast for shorter (I also wanna do xc next year too).

@CEM thanks again for the info :)

@everbodyelse at first I was gonna ask how you guys manage getting your ECs but then the bigger question here is how do you have enough energy to do school, clubs, practice, work, study AND sleep? I want to do more but it’s hard even to imagine track practice, babysitting, and studying in the coming spring…

^^shaywood my moms side of the fan is from Barbados:) but they all got their post highschool educations in the US. Just thought I might add that

What’s your mile time? Yeah, I like the competition a little, but mostly am on the tram because I like running. And honestly, most of the sports teams have some real snobs, but everyone on track is always supportive.

Studying and track is tough, especially this year most likely, with AP. For us, practices go until 6, so it’s kind of late, and I’ll be up late doing homework. But do-able.

My last mile time was from freshman PE. It was 7:30 which is pretty normal. I heard an average male does 8:30.

OMG I looked!! haha no. what a coincidence though!!! on the other hand, I should check with them!!! although I really don’t think so. it’s too funny!!!

No I looked again. Yes so much like me. But no, that’s not me. I know for sure. there are something that’s not me. haha it’s so funny though!

So I found out that I need to film a chemistry video at my house on my birthday (Saturday). It’s cool cuz the two guys in my group are my really good friends, but there’s two girls that I don’t know that well. does anyone have Any suggestions for how to get rid of the two girls after we finish the video so that me and my friends can just chill? I don’t wanna be rude, and say “go home” lol

Maybe just tell them that the three of you will do the final touches on the video, and just use that time to hang out.

Quick question to everyone: What’s your schedule like? Not your school schedule, I mean like what time do you get home, how you balance all your activities…

I get up at 5:30, leave at 6:30, get home at 6 PM (6:30 or 7 if I have a club or a class), and I take a few hours (three or so) on homework. I go to sleep at around 11 or 12… And I still want to do more.

If this makes you feel any better - I tried out for all state orchestra. didn’t get it. sad face

@Teaspoons, I feel so busy! so much to do. hard to keep organized, but I try.

I’m usually only busy 2/5 days a week on average. My schedule is mostly me screwing around

NOOOOOOO
Just found out that February break is cancelled because of Sandy!
