High School Class of 2015

Are the royals big celebrity figures of what? Like do little girls grow up saying “I wanna marry the prince and be a princess.”

^goodnoodle, I’m sure how it’s like every little kid wanting to be president haha.

^ that too. Do all the kids also wanna be prime minister.

Well yeah, but all prime ministers are sort of hated after they’ve been in their position for more then a year… I want to be the prime minister though
I guess some kids want to marry a prince, probably similar to those who want to marry a footballer (soccer player).
The older royals are not celebrities in the conventional way, they keep their lives very private and aren’t the subject of gossip magazines, but since the excitement of the royal wedding and Harry’s naked pictures, they’ve been launched more into this sphere.
I personally don’t care about them and think the country would be better without them :)

So are they like your kardashians?

^Aw, I forgot to tell you Happy Birthday the other day, I remember how you said your birthday is the 1st! Why didn’t you say anything? So feliz cumpleanos! Happy birthday! How does it feel to be 16?

What did you get for your birthday?

Not really like the Kardashians, who are horrible, fake, tacky, make a living out of rubbish tv programmes etc
More like the loved but not very interesting celebrity :)

@goodnoodle Joyeux noel et/y feliz cumpleanos y/und alles gute zum Geburtstag :)

^^I don’t think I was on cc on my birthday, and if I was it was probably late night, but thanks. It was a cool day, in morning I had a group chemistry video to film. It was fun, and once we finished I had two of my friends over. We hung out, played Xbox, had cake, etc (but I refused to call it a party lol.) A lot of people posted long birthday messages on Facebook, and some people made my birthday message their status, and it was nice hearing everything about how appreciated I am Haha.
I don’t feel any different. I don’t drive so nothing changed. I feel like being 16 would be more of a big deal. I remember as a little kid 16 was always the age where I felt that you weren’t a kid anymore but weren’t an adult yet.

Awesome. You don’t drive? I get my learners permit soon…cannot wait. Seriously, because to go anywhere, you need a car. The downside to rural areas :D

I’ve had a couple of friends turn 16 this week and their parties were so like little kids ones still, it was great. Except the staying up until 4am, but that’s just unavoidable.
I guess we make less of a big thing of it here, and we can’t drive for another year so that sucks.

Do you guys get ranked on your report cards or are you guessing your rank? I can estimate mine but my school doesn’t rank–even for colleges. There’s a valedictorian but she isn’t the person w/ the highest GPA. In the middle of senior year, everyone in AP English Lit. has to write a valedictory speech and the school chooses one (not completely based on the speech but just the person they want to represent the class who also wrote a very good speech). Then, there’s Best in Class, which is the person w/ the highest GPA by January of senior year. This is what I want to be  It’s perfect for me because I wouldn’t have to speak in front of everyone but I would still get the honor.

@CEM I’m pretty rural, but luckily am right on the edge (as in the last town NW) on the London underground (metro I think) even though it comes above ground long before us. It’s about 40 minutes in to the edge of London still, but it means we have a pretty good train service between that and the overground network. Also add in buses (which I hate bit still) and my bike and I can get basically anywhere on my own. Which I have to do a lot anyway, as my dad is always away with work and my mum doesn’t like driving me places…

I’d love to know my rank, because I really have no idea (anywhere from 50-200 is my guess) but they got rid of Val and Sal and rankings a few years back. I think they still have ranking probably in the computer system, but no one will ever know.

@UKgirl…yeah, the nearest metro is a few hundred miles away! Haha, no buses either. Cars or cows ;)

We don’t rank here, but I will definitely be in the top 10 on GCSE results (class of 150 girls)

What about normal trains?

We rank, mostly every top 20 person is obsessed with rank.

@CEM I started driver’s ed online in september. I did it for like 3 days (not consecutive) and got around halfway through. I havent touched it since october haha

We’ve got one like 45 minutes away. But that’s just from traveling to far distances (e.g., >100 miles).

It’s nearly midnight here, and I have a really big debate competition against our rival boys schools tomorrow, fun fun
Anyway, Alix out.

@goodnoodle…ha I’m so ready to drive
