High School Class of 2015

I think I’ll take the SAT next October right after or before the PSAT. will try NMS for PSAT and do well on SAT.

I also think I’ll take one or two subject SATs next spring, right after my AP classes. (Chem and APUSH.)

WHY does kypdurron get so many green bars under his name while I only have one and most other people here only have one? JuniorMint gets many as well. WHY?

You guys didnt embarass me…too much. I just went to sleep after my last post and just woke up an hour ago. The reason I’m actually thinking about it is because the majority flip just switched sophomore year. Freshman year and most of middle school (maybe not elementary) I had more guy friends hands down, but whatever, I’ve decided that my new “ratio” of friends is a good thing ;)

I got a 174, but I omitted about 30 total.

Shmluza. Its our reputation. Its like a total number of likes for each post. Obivously, Junior Mint and I are extremely popular thus we get more Rep.

You can add rep by clicking that weight thingy next to the online/offline for each user.

^Um…helpful posts not popular-ness. ;)

Too bad, I would’ve liked to see that thread before it was deleted.

Kyp, you start too many controversial threads, that’s why, and it was probably deleted because we’re not allowed to start threads about other posters.

And did you really not know Mint was a guy?

@HobbitTon, no will be taking it Junior year

@UKgirl…well, you take multiple classes/seminars on different things related to your major, so history, probably some political science, that type of thing, plus whatever college requirements you have to fulfill (generally a credit or two of math, composition, etc.). Here’s the course requirements for a history major at Harvard, to give you an example: [Harvard University History Department - Requirements](http://history.fas.harvard.edu/programs/undergraduate/concentration-requirements/coursework.php)

You want to go to college in the US of A, right?

Thanks, that’s a great start :)

Ideally I do want to come to the US, always have. Whether or not it works out financially is another matter.

There are probably scholarships you’d qualify for, and you could apply for some for international students. What schools are you looking at? Would you care for any suggestions?

I think I’d count as a domestic student, as I have US citizenship (but none of my immediate family has ever lived there), so that would make things easier I think. It would be scholarships or loans, my parents won’t pay any of it but they earn too much to get financial aid.
I’ve looked a bit at schools like Harvard, but beyond that I have no idea at the moment, suggestions would be great  btw I can’t deal with hot weather, at all

The school I’ll be at next year has very good guidance as well as connections, so I’ve sort of been leaving it until I go then, but that won’t really give me enough time.

Every state in the U.S gets hot at some point, except maybe Alaska.

Yale, Harvard, Princeton all are good history schools, Johns Hopkins, Amherst, Columbia, University of Chicago, Northwestern University too. You probably haven’t heard of any of those besides the Ivy’s though, but they are all excellent schools. My mom got her B.A in history from Northwestern, and hated the cold, so you might like that. There’s a ton more that are great too, but that’s just off the top of my head.

I’m sure, but I know I couldn’t cope with anywhere south basically. Not that I love cold weather either, but I think I would prefer it to hot, given the choice  So lucky to have the mildest weather here in the UK, it never really gets hot or cold.

They all seem really interesting, I’ll look into them further. Thanks :D

kypdurron, Oh I see. lol this is funny. So I just clicked on yours so you may get another green box! LOL

Got my PSAT scores! 222! I’ve still got a long way to go, especially in math (65…eek), but I am more than happy with them. :D

Agh! The only person in this thread so far (I think) who’s beat my score. Congrats @tiger :)

@ukgirlif you like nice weather, California isn’t too bad  I hear its great up at stanford.

@Tiger, great job! I’m jealous. but mine is not too shabby - I got 212.
@Artery, what did you get?

Yay CC popularity FTW! I just clicked on most of your litttle thingys so you should be more popular by tomorrow. LOL

Good job on high PSATs!!

@Nomatterwhat, did you do mine? Could everybody please add to my popularity? :D

@shmluza, Did you get your PSAT scores finally?

It takes more than hitting it once to make the green squares go up, I have 21 and it has yet to go up.

I saw my progress report online and my Algebra 2/Trig teacher commented “works below ability”. :frowning:
But he also wrote two positive comments…
