@petlover-Yeah, we also have to buy our own agendas now. Tch. Budget cuts…

@almostanonymous-Wow, sounds like you’re well set for a STEM career/major. I do know one senior last year who took 3 AP sciences on top of the full IB diploma program. How he did it, no one really knows. ;)

@UKgirl: That’s great!! Good job and good luck on your next exams!

@CE: Hey that’s a totally great score. Remember, you’re FAR higher than the nation’s average for sophomores, and you also scored higher than the nation’s average for juniors! You have nothing to be ashamed of. Good job!

@CE527M - I wouldn’t worry too much. If it’s higher than most people, then it can’t be too bad. I think these types of tests are something you get used to a lot more.

@ElvenRanger - …I’m amazed he survived a schedule like that. Well done to him I guess? AP sciences don’t seem /too/ bad (except biology), but all three on top of IB sounds impossible.

@UKgirl23 - Hope today’s exams went alright. Try and get more sleep tonight? (Alternatively - tea and paracetamol.)

'Twas shambolic. I wrote half a side in half an hour about Great Expectations. I was tempted to pick a random book and make some stuff up instead. And tea works for everything :)

@CEM don’t worry about it, it doesn’t actually matter for anything, right?

I will, especially as I have no exams or school tomorrow :D

And did I mention I’m starting competitive swimming again? 5 months of hating myself for being to slow and missing it, so yeah. My life is gone once again.

I THOUGHT I was supposed to write an essay for AP World tonight, but APPARENTLY we were just supposed to write a thesis statement. Of course I learned this AFTER I wrote the essay (which might be the best one I have ever written).

@CE: That’s awful! You should ask for extra credit. Above and beyond! Great job! I hate writting essays so :p

@purmou: amazing job!! Haven’t taken it yet but I’ll be hoping to do as well as you!

@fostej: nearly all the sophs in my school took the plan, the pre-ACT, in November. We should be getting those results soon.

@UKgirl: I swim too!! Not competitively, but I am varsity on my HS team, which I’d daresay isn’t too shabby. I finally broke 30 on my 50 free (oh wait yards not meters :/) so I’m really excited about that!! What’s your best stroke? Fav? Worst? Least fav?

@almost: yeah no one really knows how he did it. But he’s at Stanford now. Freaking genius…I wish I was that smart :(

So second semester has started…hmm. I like all of my teachers but one so far, but some of the kids in those classes…gahh!

“Some people need to be tapped on the head, with a HAMMER. REPEATEDLY.”
^my philosophy towards people like that.

@ElvenRanger Definitely free is my favourite I managed a 28.9 on 50m once, but that was the only time I broke 30 I think. And I’m not on my school team because the teacher hates me. Also school sports are a bit of a joke here.
Worst probably has to be breaststroke because I never seem to be able to do it for injuries. First it was my elbow, then my knee, now I have a permanently swollen foot that kills when I do it, and now my knee injury’s come back. I was never great at it, but the last time I race 100 IM I lost 10m on the breaststroke length :/

How often do you train? And is it all with school?

It is the third day back at school and somehow I’ve already managed to accumulate a ridiculous number of things to do. I’m not sure how I managed this.

@Elven…naw I didn’t even mention it to my teacher, it would have probably made me look bad that I misunderstood the instructions. Oh well.

Under so much stress, I have exams next week, a midterm in AP World, PLUS a unit test in AP World, plus a lot of homework due. And I have a huge test tomorrow in my math class that is going to make or break my grade. Who gives a huge 100 point test 5 days before the exam in that class??? Ah, if only next semester would be here already.

And from a different article:
"Philip Gordon, the US assistant secretary for European affairs in the State Department, was asked about the possibility of a UK referendum ahead of a meeting with Europe minister David Lidington in London.

Mr Gordon told journalists that the UK would always be a key ally of the US and that “what is in the UK’s interests is up to the UK”.

But he added: “We have a growing relationship with the EU as an institution, which has an increasing voice in the world, and we want to see a strong British voice in that EU. That is in America’s interests. We welcome an outward-looking EU with Britain in it.”
Love his candiness :D

@UKgirl: I only swim with my school team. I don’t think I’d survive if I started club/competitive swimming. We train a lot though, six days a week for at least two hours unless there’s a meet somewhere in there.
Keep in mind that it’s a lot harder to swim fast in meters than in yards. You could probably go a 26-something on the 50-yard free. And then there’s me, who got 29.99 seconds on a 50 yard free…
My favorite stroke is breaststroke! Currently it’s also my best stroke which is nice. Actually, I just came back from practice, and I’m feeling a ton better about my breaststroke now. The fastest I’ve gone on the 100-yard is 1:25-something.
My worst stroke is backstroke; I’m so slow at it. you know it’s bad when your 50 breaststroke is faster than your 50 backstroke…
But my least favorite stroke is definitely butterfly. Hate it, hate it, hate it. Arghh. It’s so energy-draining. I hate it soooooo much. (I am getting better at it, though; butterfly used to be my worst stroke.)

@CE: Oh my geez that sounds hectic. Best of luck! You’re going to do great!!
(See, that’s why I’m so glad that our district makes schools finish finals before winter break, except of course when there’s a stupid snow day on a day when there was only like 1 inch of snow. Geeeeez.)

I’m tired, so tired. Maybe I should go to bed before midnight tonight. Not likely…
