High School Class of 2015

^That’s why some people are called “prestige whores” (not that I’m calling you one).

I used to go to school in Harvard square. One of my teachers went to the Harvard/Yale game (she went to Yale). She said, “It’s so funny to see Ivy Leaguers try to play football.” Apparently it was really bad. But, I don’t really follow Ivy League sports so I wouldn’t really know.

haha @PoliticalProtege- I was going to say the EXACT same thing about prestige whores but @golfcrewxctrack - you seem to be offended quite easily so I decided against it.

You know what’s sad? An Ivy team played in the first football game (Princeton played Rutgers). The term Ivy League developed because the sports were so bad. I just wish the sports improve in the next 4 years lol.

What sports are you guys planning to play in high school?

I’m thinking about doing lacrosse.

2 seasons of crew and maybe swimming and sailing in the summer!

NONE!!!
actually i will do one season of the bowling team to get rid of a PE credit
and i’ll continue to dance but that is like fine art meets sport so :)

But i hate sports. with a passion. i don’t mind watching some tennis or soccer. but thats bout it

I’m starting with crew next year. Looking forward to it. :)

unfortunately because the crew program that I’m going to do is so time consuming I think that I won’t be able to play any other sports really competitively

@thenerdofawesome - I dance too! I’m on my school dance team and I take lessons. Too bad it isn’t considered a sport, so no PE credit for me :(

@caramelcorn - cool beans! what type do you do

and like no one in the south does crew. haha but this thread is dominated by it

^ya like no one from where I’m from does crew until college

Crew is really popular in NE and parts of the Midwest that have rivers. Pittsburgh, Minneapolis-St.Paul, Madison, Chicago, DC, Philadelphia, And Boston all have great rowing programs
I plan to row, maybe swim and play soccer too.

Princeton University lacrosse is declining.
Basketball has slightly increased but generally pretty dreadful.
Lacrosse was really good, declining because the famous couch retired.
Hockey is exciting but mediocre.
Never seen crew here.
Football is ehh, some years are better than others.
The sports are fun if you want them they are there, but don’t expect to see anything spectacular.

I plan to do XC, baseball, and basketball. Ifax also is doing XC I think.
Baseball runs in our blood. We have the best youth baseball program out of any state.

@thenerdofawesome - ballet and jazz…but hip hop would be cool

I just realized that I never really hear anything about Ivy League Sports. Haha

Ivy Basketball doesn’t suck so much.

But if you’re a sports fan and you’re smart, you want to go to Stanford. Best sports program in the nation.

XC and Track for this guy. I have to go to XC preseason in a little over a month.

^Hah, same here. What’s your current 5k time?
