High School Class of 2015

I have a sony e-reader. I love it. My cousin has a Kindle and it feels cheap when I hold it and use it.
I know it’s early, but what colleges to you all want to attend?
I would love to go to either Harvard, Princeton, or Yale and row. They all have such great teams.

I have a kindle. I asked Santa and he gave me one a couple years ago. Like ifax, I much prefer the book in paper. I read with kindle only when I brush my teeth. :D

^^I want to go to Harvard and row too. Did you see that one regatta between all the mens heavyweight ivies and like Yale won by a foot or something. It was amazing

@jumperchick, congratulations!!
@caramelcorn, welcome. You really planned well!

Well, University of Pennsylvania is the only Ivy with my major in undergrad. :frowning:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE UPenn. If not UPenn, I’d go to Boston College, Georgetown , or UVA,

^my sister goes to penn. whats the major?

@golfcrewxctrack Nursing. :smiley: I have 3 hooks, I think?

oh I’m pretty sure my sister’s old RA was in the major

Yeah… it’s not that big… My hooks are: first-gen, low income, and I’m a male. :smiley: Maybe my location??

I like johns Hopkins, brown, Princeton, and barnard! Haha I really don’t know too much though, I just have them in mind to keep me motivated. :)

Yeah. Rowing races are fun to watch. I can’t wait until spring season at Exeter next year!

I was actually thinking about applying there because of their rowing program but I found a good club program like 10 minutes from my school and the coach really wants me to join so I probably won’t. Are you going to do the fall crew program at Exeter?

No. Preps aren’t allowed to do club sports and fall rowing is considered a club sport. I could have rowed out of TRRA here, but it takes too long to get there! Exeter’s boathouse is onsite!

Ya that’s one of the nice things about their program.

Golf: I stand corrected. Thank you for letting me know. Now I can use that link to all those buffoons who think being a minority is more helpful than being a legacy?
Man, Harvard and Yale? I couldn’t live in that environment! I need a good sports team to cheer, so Georgetown, Princeton, or Stanford. And by sports, I mean real ones, played with a ball. JKJKJKJKJKJK.
Urgh, we have to stop losing in baseball, that’s 15 dropped in a row!
So now, what are your views on affirmative action? I’m a civil libertarian in general, so I don’t care what the hell a private college does. If their policy is that bad, no applicants will apply. If their policy is still attracting applicants, who gives a ****?
Now, when it comes to public school or any school that accepts taxpayer money, the electorate (people who pay the taxes that fund the college) should vote on any affirmative action the school employs, and the courts should also check the constitutionality. My guess? No legacy AA, no racial AA (except maybe in places like New York or Massachusetts), but socioeconomic AA will come through unscathed.
Personally, I just wish they individually evaluated cases. Only use AA if it has actually made a difference in the person’s life by inhibiting their progress.

^ did you see how well Penn’s football team did this year?

Whoah, Ivy League football! Too bad no one watches the Championship subdivision!

I love Princeton. I LOVE IT.

@iluvpenn, I have a Kindle, but the second generation white one. I haven’t used it in such a long time, it’s ridiculous!

Princeton is awesome because of the focus on undergrads.

and Harvard is awesome because it’s Harvard
