No I’m not as cool as you all. I got a 31 first time in June. Retaking in September ;)

First time I got a 33 (31, 36, 34, 32). One point away from a 34. Ugh. If I got it, then I wouldn’t be retaking.

I got a 34 my first time (34, 34, 34, 33)

Teacher: “Well guys you are all seniors! College is right around the corner. I hope most of you asked for teacher recommendations last year. Many of us will not have enough time to get to know you before the end of the admissions process.”

Student: “Aye yo teach!”

Teacher: “Yes Student?”

Student: “Lemme cop one o’ dem letters. Ya or nah?”

Me: =)) Idiot

Friend: :)] “Hold on, Hold on. Yes, Stupid police?”

—TRUE STORY

Would it be acceptable to just drop out of school at this point? I mean, school’s overrated anyway, y’know?

@CE527M, I’ll make you a deal:
You drop out first, let me know how it is, and I’ll follow if its up to expectations

BOT control is here to save the day.

My hero.

I keep getting answers all over the place on this question, so I want to know what you guys think:
When is the best time to ask for a recommendation, and how should you ask? What should you tell them when you do ask? I’m likely applying early to 2 or 3 schools with deadlines in November; should I ask as soon as I have the chance?

@codexsplanade Are you a senior? If so, the best time to ask would have been toward end of junior year… If you haven’t already asked, ask now. In person.

@elf4EVA I didn’t know where I wanted to go at the end of my junior year. I think I’m going to ask tomorrow.

I’ve already asked for both of my recommendations. I’m just glad that it’s out of the way.

I forgot all about teacher recommendations sigh. Do the teachers have to be from core subjects? My newspaper teacher knows a lot more about me than my english teachers…

I emailed one and asked one in person, and both are submitted already. Physics and ap lit

how many recs do we even need? 2???

@rllyrlyodd It depends on the school. Check their admissions websites.

I already asked 3 teachers for recs and I also asked for one outside rec. I got that out of the way in the beginning.

I asked one of my teachers for a rec a few days ago, he happily accepted. I think I’ll ask another teacher today!

Asking my French teacher for a letter of rec, Music teacher already said yes…wish me luck!

(or maybe not)
