High School Class of 2015

i think all the ones that @Hawkace listed are public schools. Stanford’s REA let’s you apply EA to other public schools

@sparkl3‌ It’s frustrating why more people don’t know about Stanford’s restrictive policy. The applicant is allowed to apply to public schools that do not have binding admissions. I’ll be applying to Rutgers EA, UMich EA, and UNC-CH EA.

The more you know…

@sparkl3 Stanford’s EA has some exceptions.

oh okay thanks guys. sorry excuse the canadian :stuck_out_tongue:

But I love Canadians lol

And I love how this doesn’t work :stuckouttonguewinkingeye: but physically typing ; ) does ;)

Thank the heavens above. I wrote a crappy incomplete essay and still got an 8 on the ACT writing :-*

Tis coo @sparkl3, I actually wouldn’t have posted my comment if I had seen that hawkace’s post. I apologize if double attack made us appear hostile.

@QuadMaster Mine was barely legible and it got a 9 :D

@emenya it had to be done

Roll Tide!!! Congrats on your first acceptance @Phillyy15!

@Phillyy15‌ Post your acceptance here: <a href=“HS Class of 2015 College Acceptances - High School Life - College Confidential Forums”>HS Class of 2015 College Acceptances - High School Life - College Confidential Forums;

I’ve already decided I’m going… I loved it too much to turn it down

What other colleges were you planning to apply to?

@bpearlman97 unc, miami, uva, uf, uga

@Phillyy15 that is so great! I can’t believe you’re done with your college search already. That is awesome!

99.9% chance I’m either going to Alabama or Missouri. Now to choose.

I got a 10 on my essay! I’m so excited because I got a 5 the last time and I felt like crap as a writer. But yay!!! And congrats to others on your scores as well!

@CE527M‌ You want to do journalism right? See which one has a better program (I know that seems like obvious advice  ). Also, have you visited both schools? How do you like the feel of them? I feel like @Phillyy15 can vouch for how amazing Alabama is lol.

I hate to burst the happiness bubble, but AP Physics makes me cry. So much. I have at least a couple of legit emotional breakdowns every single unit. We’re only on friction… it’s barely October.

Although now that I think about it, I’m mainly frustrated because my textbook is the most illogically organized piece of s*** currently in my possession.

@elf4EVA have you gotten a review book? I used the AP 5 Steps to A Five religiously and also watched (sorry to those who’ve seen me post this like a hundred times) this physics teacher on YouTube - Ms. Twu. Don’t get frusturated! It sucks in the beginning, but if you can wrap your head around the concepts and draw good enough pictures (and Free-body diagrams) you’ll be able to understand whats happening a bit better…

On another note, I just got the schedule for my Varsity hockey team…now I have 4 practices a week (b/w Travel and Varsity) and back-to-back ones on Thursdays. I don’t know what to do about the APs I’m taking, not sure if I’ll be able to handle the work load now. My weekends are going to be just about as busy, between 3 and 4 games as well :((

AP physics is ok for me right now cause I’m good with kinematics, but my non-AP english and spanish classes are killing me. My grades in those classes are gonna make me look like I’m slacking off when I’m really not! :(

Does anyone else use Giancolli for Physics? I know exactly what you mean @elf4EVA‌ !!

“but if you can wrap your head around the concepts and draw good enough pictures (and Free-body diagrams) you’ll be able to understand whats happening a bit better…”

@*#$!!! That’s the part I suck at the most :frowning: All year in Physics 1 I just went around drawing the diagrams. That’s why I hated geometry with a passion as well.
