I know. Bulls all the way.

Hi CC! I’ve been lurking the threads on this forum for a while now and finally plucked up enough courage to create an account.
I’m in a bit of a unique situation because I go to an international school and so take the IB program. However I’m hoping to go back to the UK (my country of origin) to study or possibly, the US. I’m still trying to figure everything out and my new year’s resolution is to focus extremely hard in my schoolwork, since I was slacking off last semester…
Anyway, I’m glad to be here now and hope I gain some knowledge! :)

cartoonheart: You’re from the UK? Then I must ask you: ARE YOU A DOCTOR WHO FAN???

Marshfrog: I got a new iPod!!! Which is good, cos my old one quite literally had a giant whole in it where the home button used to be. Also I got tickets to see Wicked again (it was amazing!!!), a soft hat of amazing softness, The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan, a Doctor Who calender, three types of delicious tea, and some lovely bath gels. Of course, this was all for Hanukkah, not Christmas, but…whatever XD

@TARDISgirl: Yes!! But I kinda stopped watching after the first series of Matt Smith; David Tennant will always be my doctor :)

cartoonheart: Well first of, allow me to spaz about finding another Doctor Who fan. WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Sorry, Whovians are kinda rare where I live.

Second: Give Matt a chance. I swear to you, he’s amazing. My Doctor. My first Doctor, and my favorite. When I saw David Tennant, all I could think was “who is this and where is my Doctor?” But within time, I grew to love David, just as I’m sure you’d love Matt if you gave him a little time to grow on you. Matt Smith is simply wonderful as the Doctor. He’s quirky and funny and kind, and also serious and sad and weighed down with the loss of a million lives. In short, he is brilliant.

WHOVIANS? Well, hello there! slash I’m class of 2013 so idk what I’m doing here. haha.

who got readistep ppsat scores back

Hey guys. I need help. I’m moving to a new school soon and I’m really scared. I don’t know ANYBODY! Any tips on how to survive the first few days??

@justdancecy I moved to a new school last year, and the transition was much easier than I expected it to be! I’m very shy and (let’s be honest) very geeky, so I was expecting the search for friendship to be treacherous. However, I found it quiet easy to make friends! The trick is to find a club that you’re interested it–it doesn’t have to be anything popular, just something small that you’re really interested in. Or maybe you’re not so interested, just curious. Whatever the case, join a club and talk to people in the club. If the people are nice and make you feel comfortable, then stay in the club. If not, move on. The goal is to find somewhere you’re comfortable, with friends you can count on. For me, that was my theatre club. We were a small group of friends who could trust each other no matter what. Even though we didn’t necessarily hang out outside of class (although some of us did, like me and my best friend), inside class we were as close as brothers and sisters. We could tell each other anything, and we could be sure that it would not leave the classroom; our secrets were safe. Though that group has since disbanded, I have made friends for life, and that’s what’s important.

Hi
I am currently class of '15 in the UK, but am coming to the US to study in a year or two (at boarding school) and am probably going to repeat a year, so that would make me '16
Basically school is so complicated at the moment, made all the more stressful by a ton of mock exams and massive essays.

But anyway, have a good new year :)

Hi all, I hope everybody had a good break. I was overseas! It was awesome!

shmluza: Where’d you go?

UKgirl23: Doctor Who fan?

I went to China!
And I watched more Dr. Who. I love the Xmas special. I just finished 42 last night. will be watching more. I don’t have school today. :D

Hi all, It looks like I’m getting another all A report card for the second term. :)

@TARDISgirl No not really, I used to be, but the episodes all started to get a bit samey after a while. Merlin FTW!

It’s so nice to get a five day weekend - snow helped. :)

Lucky. I only got a three day weekend. I wish I had snow over here. We haven’t had snow for ages.

We had an ap gov quiz today. For the first time I got a perfect score! :D

we went to a mock trial tournament. We won in the county but lost (by 5 points) at the next level. :(

I’m really nervous becuase I’ve got my first debate tournament soon! (the date hasn’t been decided yet, but it’ll be in February) and its a really big international one. I’m mostly worried about doing something really stupid ot letting my partner, who is way more experienced, down.
Any advice would really help :)
