Is it evident that my interest is in Foreign Relations?? Im doing the best i can… are these decent?

Hobbit, good luck and have fun with bio.
Classof2015, I forgot, we may have talked about this. I’m also planning to take SAT chem, if I do well in AP chem. Also I may take SAT USH, after I do APUSH.

crazyfrog, yeah I know many schools don’t allow freshmen/sophomores take AP. that sucks. but as long as you’re taking the most challenging courses possible, you will stand out and you will feel good.

I did debate team and mock trail this year. They’re awesome!

Schedule/ECs for Sophomore year. Today was my last day of school (go Alaska).

By the way, we have no honors classes for math or science. Just AP classes. This is the hardest schedule possible for me.

Pre-Calculus
Honors US History (they wouldn’t let me take AP… believe me, I tried)
Honors English 10
Chemistry
AP Environmental Science
French III

ECs

Youth Court (Chief Clerk) - Racked up over 100 community service hours this year. I also recieved a President’s Volunteer Service award this year.

Partners Club (Co-President) - Very active school club that actually gets a ton of stuff done. Lots of planning and time required.

Tennis (starting this year)

Debate (starting this year)

@acacesfan, looks good. Chem is H? AP environmental shouldn’t be too hard.

We don’t offer honors chem at our school. At my school, it’s Chemistry<Conceptual Chemistry (the easier version of chemistry).

I was actually given the choice between Environmental and Bio, but I chose Environmental because it sounded more interesting to me. I’ll take Bio eventually though.

@akacespan, Does AP bio in your school use two periods?

I’d guess yes. Most schools use double periods for AP bio and AP chem, unless the labs are on Saturdays.

Nope, my school doesn’t. We have two 60 minute periods a week in each class and two 80 minute periods per week in each class. There’s one day each week in which we don’t have that class.

I just finished school Thursday! When do the rest of you guys get out of school?

You’re early, Anonymous! My school will be over the first week of june.

@aka, my school’s ap bio and ap chem take two periods. I kinda like the way your school does it, so I don’t have to do summer gym.

Yeah, it’s nice, but it also sucks when you’re in a super boring class for eighty minutes where your teacher is insane. (French II)

I’m not even kidding either. One time, she told us to jog in place and do jumping jacks. When no one did that, she took us outside and asked us to roll around in the snow. No one did that either, so she yelled out “La neige!” (french word for snow) and threw snow at this one girl. Someone else threw snow back at the teacher.

Yeah, I’m glad I’m done with that class.

Oh that sounds so childish! but it made me laugh, sorry aka! Elle est fou!
So are you going to do more french? I’m taking French III next year.

Oui, elle etait tres fou. (don’t know how to type accents on this thing)

Yes, I’m taking French III. Luckily, it’s a different teacher, and I’ve heard she’s way better at teaching. I’m excited.

^ I have the opposite. Next year I’m going from the great french teacher to the crazy one because I’m going to french III honors

I’m done with school!!!

Any idea of how to convince my counselor to let me take AP Psych in my sophomore year? We aren’t allowed to take APs in 9th or 10th, which is rather absurd in my opinion.

Most schools forbid 9th and 10th graders from taking AP classes - the exception usually being World History or European History in the 10th grade. If your school offers AP World History or AP Euro History, I would try and ask your counselor if you could take one of those on the argument that most schools allow sophomores to take APWH or AP Euro.
