My school gets out on Wednesday. My school lets us take AP classes throughout high school, but there is a limit to how many you can take per year:

9th - 2 AP
10th - 3 AP
11th - 6 AP
12th - 7 AP

That means by senior year, if you take all the APs you can, the most you can have is 18 APs. There are exceptions though. I’m taking 18.

Congrats to those who survived the first year in HS. Hope you’ve had fun! I know I have. Ours will be over soon.

Here is my AP plan: (based on what’s available…)

9th - AP gov. (Yeah! I think I’ve passed it. I hope I’ll get a 5!!!)
10th - AP chem, APUSH
11th - AP Calc, AP English Composition, maybe AP Physics or AP world, but not both.
12th - AP Statistics, AP English Lit, either AP physics or AP world, or AP Human Geogrphy.

Unfortunately, my school forbids freshman from taking any AP courses. Therefore, I initially planned on self-studying AP Psychology. Evidently, it didn’t happen haha

Here is my AP plan:

9th: N/A
10th: AP Euro, AP Gov, AP Psych, AP World, AP Economics
11th: AP English Language, AP USH, AP Statistics,
12th: AP English Lit, AP French Language, AP Biology, AP Calculus AB

9th: AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Psychology, AP Human Geography(all self-study)
10th: AP World History(SS), AP European History(SS), AP Statistics(SS), AP Biology
11th: AP Environmental Science(SS), AP Computer Science A(SS), AP Physics B(SS), AP Calculus AB(****ed off cuz i cant take it next year), AP US History, AP English Lang, AP Chemistry
12th: AP Art History(SS), AP Physics C Mech, AP Physics C E+M, AP Spanish Lang, AP Spanish Lit(SS), AP English Lit, AP US Gov(SS), AP Comp Gov(SS), AP Calculus BC

Also taking Modern Physics and Optics in 12th grade. Both are on the same level as AP Physics C.

@xcalculatin, but if your school offers AP to sophomores, consider taking it. I know many sophomores don’t take it even when there is opportunity. @Rob, will you take any APs next year?

@shmluza, yes we should talk about APs. Morale is important! :D

Yeah, most kids don’t. I am just highly motivated, and I love learning and taking tests. My schools doesn’t allow until junior year. All of mine in Frosh and Soph are self-studies and Bio. I can only take Biology because I am taking a University course this summer. Even though my school doesn’t allow me too, I go out of my way to self-study them. My school doesn’t even let me take exams. I have to take them at a neighboring school for an extra fee. If you really wanted too, you would. Whatever floats your boat. I would not recommend it if your just doing it for college applications. All the stress and lack of sleep I go through is not worth it. Most say I’m crazy, but I just really love learning. And I got to a top 20 USA school so the APs in school are crazy hard and get like 2 hours of homework per night.

Hey guys, I don’t know if I’m the only one who feels this way - when we are here and talk anonymously, it’s cool to talk about working hard. But on facebook, even among the group which is supposed to be academically advanced, everybody seems to think screwing school is the way to go. One of my friends explained that by the fact the real awesome people don’t really hang out on facebook much. Sometimes I feel disgusted to see how my facebook “friends” post their status. They are making a complete fool of themselves but think they’re epic. Most of them are sophomores (now) for some reason. I hope our group doesn’t turn out that way. I lurked in 2014 thread, they seem to be ok there. I guess CCers are special. :D

@nomatterwhat: Ah, didn’t mean to confuse you, I was just class of 2014 stopping in. =p
But if it makes you feel better, I only took one AP class this year (and was one of two people in my sophomore class to do so; most of the students at my school don’t take any).

Psych and Hug are extremely easy. Micro and Macro are medium level. Unless you have actually done them, I wouldn’t try to put in input. It makes you sound naive.

Since I am new on this thread, I will introduce myself by putting down my sophomore schedule.

10th Grade Classes:
AP Statistics
Pre-Calculus Honors
Civics & Economics Honors
English II Honors
Biology II Honors
Physics Honors
AP Biology
Chemistry Honors
