High School Class of 2015

@orlyaaa, APGOV is ok. It’s fun. I worked hard at it. But if you’re interested in politics it shouldn’t be hard. I felt okay about the exam. Hopefully I’ll get a 5.

@yersh52, welcome! We have 3 years together.
You will have to tell me what AP Statistics is like. I’m very curious. I may take it junior or senior year.
And you’re not taking foreign language??

I got good news. I got elected into office for CSF =)

@ImSoAmbitious

I’ve taken them HuG and Micro. Don’t jump to conclusions that you are always " smarter" than every one else. Take AP World History, then tell me what you think.

Congrats to Classof2015! You always make me jealous. :slight_smile:

So dundunyang, you mean AP world is hard? How’bout APUSH? I’m taking APUSH and AP chem next year.

Ok sorry for making an incorrect assumption. Just wondering where I have said I was smarter. On CC especially, I would say that it is totally untrue. Many kids on here are so talented. It just seemed that with your post that you tried to counter your inferiority complex by saying what I had done was easy. Please, no one will take you seriously if you act without rationale. I worked hard for what I did. Micro may have been easy to you, but I had to work hard to learn the information in only a weeks time. Speaking with such arrogance will get you nowhere.

Yep checked my posts, I have never said I am smarter than anyone else. If you have to fabricate a quote just to make a baseless argument, don’t post. All you have done is made yourself look very foolish. Its a joke that you had to lie to make a point to someone who you don’t know on a random website. People these days…

Last day of summer! Now comes summer fun: hospital volunteering, Teen Board, summer assignments.

What summer assignment do you have Hobbit?

@HobbitTon Last day of summer already? Wow.

@HobbitTon your summer passed fast!

What summer assignments do you guys have? So far I have none from school. I plan to self study something, don’t know exactly what.

I have to study for the AP Environmental Science entrance exam and read My Antonia by Willa Cather for Honors English.

I have to read Lord of the Flies and The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. I also have AP Bio summer homework.

@ImSoAmbitious- That wasn’t a quote from you.

From Purdue OWL-“A single word or a short phrase may be enclosed in quotation marks to indicate ironic use.”

From Quotation Marks.org-“A important use of quotation marks is to indicate or call attention to ironic or apologetic words.”

Micro in a week? Did you look at it beforehand? If you get a 5, I’ll be really amazed. I took a class.

@Shmluza- Idk about APUSH. The APWH comment I made was because I have first-hand experience looking at the test and the textbooks. It really isn’t something you can cram into your head all at once. However, my classmates said that APUSH is pretty hard also.

AP Chem is easy if you took another chemistry class beforehand.

@akacesfan- My Antonia stinks. Not to ruin anything, but the book has a pretty bad ending.

Lord of the Flies is ok, I guess. I have to read it too, and so far it looks pretty good.

I hate summer work.
I have to read and write essays on 3 chapters of a textbook for AP Bio, do around 10 activities (essays and the sort) and read Ishmael (it was really good) for AP World and read two books for lit.
One of the books is about how to read like a professor… what’s the point of that? The other is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Anyone read that?

Summer is gonna suck.

For summer work I have:

 • 10 assignments for APES
 • read a book about reading or writing like a professor? Not really sure
 • memorize 4 vocab lists
 • precalc class

This summer is going to be fun!

AP Chem Packet- HUGE
Memorize the Periodic Table

Honors English-
The Joy Luck Club
-Essay
-Guide Questions
-Paragraph Response (agree/disagree)

AP World History
-Read and outline the first 5 chapters of the WHAP textbook
-Ishmael (summary, Relate the story to a period of world history and a region/area described, short evaluation

-summer school (either WHAP prep (my friend really needs a carpool…) or PE (what I want to do)

Three more weeks of school!

@Anonymous5589 - I have to read that book too! I think it’s called How to Read Literature Like a Professor.
