High School Class of 2015

@nate42: I know you can technically pick and choose SAT scores, but colleges still have their own requirements. According to CollegeBoard, “Students will be encouraged to follow the score-reporting requirements of each college to which they apply, but their scores will not be released for admission purposes without their specific consent. Colleges and universities will only receive the scores that students send them.”

Many schools require you only send in the highest scores or the highest sections, but there are still a lot of schools that require you send in all scores. Although you can technically hide your undesirable scores from colleges, you’re really not supposed to, from what I’ve gathered.

The list of schools (and information concerning Score Choice) can be found here:

@rob1995: Oh okay. All the schools I am applying to only require the best score.

175 multiple choice health exam. pretty short time wise also AP Human geo was crazy long

@nate42: I would be going to the New Jersey Virtual School… I would probably take Chinese/ Latin (I heard that helps A LOT with the SATs/ AP Comp Sci (I wouldn’t be able to take it until junior year)

also, what clubs are you guys going to be apart of next year?
I was only in Key Club (secretary), FBLA, and Math Club (LOL) this year, but I’ve heard that sophomore year is the year you have to make the commitments & stick with it.

@columbia97: Awesome! You will love online learning :)

I will be in Student Council (Junior Representative), Class Officers ( President), FTA (founder and President) , Leo Club, National Honors Society, Math Lab, Spanish Club, Quiz Bowl, Envirothon Team and FCA.

@ Nate: I’m not sure of the examination name - it was just some honors American History exam…

Neat, Nate! I’m also on the Student Council and do FCA as well. I also am the captain of the varsity basketball team as well as the captain on my table tennis team (3rd in state). I’m the Vice President of the Latin Club and I have served over 100 hours of community service to my local church.

Awards: MVP of East Coast Elite Tournament, Perfect Season award for table tennis, Timothy Award winner (memorized over 1,000 Bible verses), Teens Involved first place drama, JI Honor Society, and others.

@jpvn: Oh alright, is that the equivalent of US History? In my state we don’t take US History until Junior year.

Awesome, those are some pretty big accomplishments! I am ranked 2nd in the state among sophomore kickers.

@Nate: Yes, it is the equivalent of US History.

They are ok. Hopefully I can add some more this summer, as I am searching for some work to do. I forgot, I’m also a forum moderator, but it is for an online game, so I won’t add that to my ECS (if you know what I mean).

Yours are very impressive as well. Wow, 2nd ranked sophomore kicker is phenomenal. Keep up the good work!

I wish my school had a quizbowl team…

Our school has a quizbowl team. I’m the captain. However, it should be noted that we stink to the high heavens.

@jpvn: Oh okay, cool.

I wouldn’t worry about it this summer. The only thing I did the summer after my freshman year was community service. That’s awesome!

Thanks! I think being a kicker is about the only chance I have going to the Ivy league schools.

It’s not that great, my team really sucks. The only reason I do it is because there is a science portion.

At least you guys have a Quizbowl. We don’t have any academic teams. :(

My high school has a very good quizbowl team. Our A team is top 40 nationally ranked. I was on C team this year and I am looking to crack into B team next year(top 80 nationally ranked). I hope to be captain senior year. I also participate in Model United Nations, World Quest, Politics Club, ASHE Club, Association of Computer Machinery, Key Club, TEAMS Engineering, Chess Club, Jefferson Council, Science Ambassadors, Writer for the newspaper, Youth in Government, Stock Market Club, Patriots Club, PAW Club, Youth 4 Youth, Habitat for Humanity, Environmental Club, and I was the Captain of JV History Bowl team this year(17th at nationals). I also will participate in USABO and Brain Bee this upcoming year. I will also be trying out for Science Olympiad, Math League, and Envirothon.

This year I was in Latin Club, History Club, Science Bowl, and HOSA Club. Next year, I will be in the clubs I was in this year and World Cultures Club and I will start a Science Bowl team. I may or may not do Key Club… I am still deciding. What do you do in Key Club?

Tofurkeyyy.

Key Club is volunteering.

@StanfordOneDay Furkey?
@ImSoAmbitious So you help others to stay in a club? Well I guess there is a club for everyting.

lollllllollllllol

Today is our school seniors’ graduation. I’ll gonna play in the band! :)

Ahh my school doesn’t offer that many clubs :frowning: that being said:
Debate (2nd year, secretary)
MUN (2nd year Undersecretary)
Student Government (Honor Committee, 2nd Year)
Squash Team (JV Captain, 2nd year)
Orchestra (1st year)
Community Action Club (2nd year)

Lol, my school offers one period everyday for extracurriculars. This is the reason why I can do so many.

@Yerhs What are you talking about? Haha I am misunderstanding your comment.
