High School Class of 2015

june bio test wasn’t that hard…although i did prep with barrons lol

i got 650 and 690 on the barrons test and ended up with a 790…wut

@pdateh WOW!

It’s not hard for those who can master the SAT Biology from Barrons. And it wouldn’t hurt to take AP the year you take the test.

I took Bio H this year, took a review class (2 hr. met 4 times over the course of a month) and then read the whole Barron’s Book the night before. Would it be worth retaking a 740 after I take AP if I don’t plan on majoring in Bio or a related science? Lol, I hate myself for asking since I told myself I’d be happy with anything above 750 so getting a 740 killed me even though it’s still a decent grade.

Don’t worry about it, that score is fine. Focus of the subject tests that reflect your prospective major.

I plan on going into Pre Med so I will take at least two science subject tests.

Thanks! Yeah I plan on going (atm anyway) into one of the social sciences, psychology or linguistics probably. But a lot can change in 4 years.

First, I’m really glad that someone
made a page for rising sophomores who want to get involved early. Thanks! Haha
I’m worried about extracurriculars, I’m a good student, only two Bs last year (88 and 87). I don’t play any sports and I have nothing after school.
What are, if there are any, sports I can start now?
Ideas for things I could put on my resume?

Thanks!

you could do tennis :D

it’s actually pretty easy for beginners to pick up because it’s one of those sports where, once you learn the basics, . . . you are either naturally great at it or average.

I’ve been told rowing is very easy to pick up later, most people don’t even start until college. I’m starting in september :)

i’m in class of 2015!

Yeah, I’m taking tennis lessons right now. Some things are harder to pick up than others, I have a good backhand for a beginner, but my forehand is terrible. My instructor tells me that I’ll get better as time goes on, but since mine is worse than anyone else’s in the class, I’m kind of worried.

Hey! I will be graduating in 2015 as well. I love this thread!

I took some tennis lessons last year. I wanted to join our school’s tennis team, but it conflicted with mocktrial. :(

Do whatever sport’s you want, akacesfan. I’m doing football, and wrestling next year, none of which I’ve done before.

Daimyo, don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it. I was just posting to see if anyone had any tips for me.

Actually, I had another lesson today, and everything seemed to sort of just come together. I was more consistent on all of my shots today. It was awesome.
