High school class of 2016

@BattleforLA- I guess bothh.

@Almondjoy7- Thanks for your honesty; I appreciate that haha and i guess I am overreacting, but it’s because I’m just in alg 2 honors and the class isn’t even hard to begin with (at least what i’m learning now). And maybe its also because my Chinese A+ also dropped to an A; 2 A+'s in honors classes will boost up my gpa a lot. hahah I still have 2 weeks to bring up my grades so not that worried! Good luck on your debate tournament! :slight_smile: I live in NJ and it’s pretty cold here hahah

@imhkim - It really depends on the class, as you mentioned. To be honest, I would be alright with a 90 in AP World, but extremely upset if I got that in trig, Spanish, or chem. Just don’t beat yourself up over it - I’m sure you’ll be able to balance it out eventually!

Tomorrow I have art classes and chamber rehearsal until 10; on Saturday, I have test prep classes the entire day; and on Sunday, I have to go to the city for an award ceremony (also the entire day).
I also coincidentally have 3 tests and 2 large assignments all scheduled for Monday.
I’m so stressed out right now.

I find it funny that everyone is talking about school and grades and I haven’t even gone back yet! We got an extra week of winter break because of all the snow days we got. I’m going to have so much work to make up its not even funny :/

I got my PSAT back today
73 Math
66 Critical Reading
65 writing skills
204 total
My writing skills grade went down from freshman year.

@FrenchieXX same for us! We were supposed to go back on Tuesday, but we have had the past three days off, plus a two hr delay tomorrow. I’m actually getting sick of being stuck inside the house, though.

@desigirl1432 yeah I’m in the exact situation as you! I’m getting bored staying at home too but I just shudder to think of the amount of AP Euro reading I’ll have to make up. I don’t get the point of having school tomorrow; what is one day going to do especially if we have a 2 hour delay?

Woow, you guys are so lucky. For my school, there are no A+ and As are very difficult to get because you have to get a 93 or higher

Did anyone else get weird PLAN test scores? Like I only missed one question on reading but I got a 27 in that category.

Just wondering, how does this sound for a possible junior year classes (need 6, only have 4 right now). any current juniors have any input??

ap psych
APUSH
hon pre calc.
reg. english

Anyone know what ap classes to take if I want to do a marketing major?

AP Econ^?

Anyone know how to get my hands on any of these: Dexedrine, Concerta, Adderall, Ritalin.

@np AP stats too probably
@BattleForLA those are prescription drugs, so they’re a bit harder to get your hands on than something like Advil. A tip though, I’ve got a sibling who takes it (adderall) and it honestly doesn’t make you smarter it just gives you energy like caffeine.

@np
AP Econ, AP Psych, AP stat

^buy adderall from a kid with ADHD

Lol I’m fairly certain the drugs you mentioned have a high risk of abuse.

^I’m finding it hilarious how we are talking about these drugs without considering how dangerous these drugs are.

to add on to that ^, haven’t you see what adderall-addicts are like when they don’t take it?

^ which is why one always needs a constant supply of adderal

I’m wondering if any of you 16’rs can help me decide what science class to take next year. At my school, after sophomore year - you can leave lab sciences and take whatever you want regarding science which includes AP environmental science and psychology. It’s required to take a science class for all four years to graduate which is why I’m not just doing another class - but - I’m having a hard time picking which class to take.

My four classes that I’m thinking about are AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science and AP Psychology. For me to take AP Bio or Chemistry, I have to already take CP versions of those classes which is why I haven’t taken the AP classes yet but I hated both CP classes, because of the teachers, which is why I’m not for sure about taking an AP class on them especially considering that I’ll get the same teacher for AP chem that I had for regular chem. What class do you think I should take? What do you think colleges would like me to take? I’m not aiming for like Harvard, but, I’m interested in Georgetown, Northeastern and Tufts.

From what I’ve heard: APES is a blowoff class. The material is a lot easier than the other sciences.

At my school people generally take AP Chem junior yr and AP Bio senior yr, but it depends on how rigorous the rest of your schedule is, I guess.

APES is considered the soft option at a lot of schools and I’ve never heard of AP Psyche counting for science credits.

If you were exceptionally good at honors biology or chemistry previously and your only issue was dislike of the teachers, consider AP Bio or Chem. Especially Bio, as if you really took issue with a teacher, you may be able to request not to receive that teacher for the class if you can provide a valid reason why.

If you meet the math requirements and your school offers it, you could also probably take AP physics without much trouble. All the kids I know who met the math requirements for APB Physics that took it found it fairly simple.
