High school class of 2016

What do you mean? Teachers try to make it tough on you?

No one…? Oh ok…:expressionless:

@Animefan1998 sorry my teacher usually gives the answers before assigning an essay like that

And I honestly do not know off the top of my head

@anime - Sorry, I’m in WHAP right now but I literally cannot remember ANYTHING I learned from 2 or more units ago.

The AP exam is going to go REALLY well for me. /:

Lol it’s ok. I seriously can’t find any continuities/similarities anywhere though. Google’s no help either. OTL.

Oh, well I just urbandict what OTL means. I am now amused.

We have a lab report covering a topic our teacher never addressed. This sucks ;-;

I’m actually kind of worried my French III class will wreck my UW GPA :/

In other news, I took another Dr. Chung practice exam for Math II, and I got a 640. My scores have been consistent 640s other than a 710 on an untimed one and one 730.

This is going to go greatly.

I am glad I didn’t buy that book, sounds depressing lol.
But then again, I’m basically getting every problem about probability wrong, so I guess I need to fix that.

You’ll be fine, @TeamRocketGrunt, believe in yourself

@eph: Yeah, I’m honestly super lucky that I have such an experienced team that’s so willing to help. One of the captains is a girl that has placed first multiple times at huge national tournaments, and she is the sweetest person ever. She basically helped me with every single speech that I gave at my last tournament, so I owe a lot of my success to her.

@catchinginfinity: My WHAP tests are, unfortunately, cumulative. Which sucks. But we are going to kick butt on that AP exam, don’t worry! <3

@TeamRocket: YOU ARE GOING TO KICK BUTT! I’m pretty sure Dr.Chung has harder practice tests anyways. So. You’re going to be fine. Deep breath. In. Out. You’re awesome for getting that high in the first place, especially as a sophomore. Keep that in mind.

I’m seriously considering retaking my Biology SAT 2. I need a high score anyways, and I’ll have the time if I take it in March. I’ll have to take to my GC about it.

@loltired, I got Barron’s, but a major factor for me last time was the algebraic reasoning/timing, so Chung’s is helping me with that, I guess. The algebra in Chung is way harder than in Barron’s, I’ve heard.

@almondjoy, I honestly don’t know if I’m going to be fine at this point. I’ve just entered a state of depressive realism; I’m pretty much screwed at this point. I got a 750 last time, and I’m probably going to get lower this time. :frowning:
What did you end up making on your SAT II Bio? I dunno if the test is offered in March. Sadly, I wasn’t able to manage 800 on that either; only got a 770. Yeah, I’m pretty stupid, especially when compared to a lot of you guys.

hasn’t taken and will not take an SAT II

TheAtlantic: Are you planning on applying to any top tier colleges?

Early dismissal! Working on summer program applications and banning myself from the internet until I’m done because otherwise I’ll never get them finished.

@TeamRocket - Do you understand what you get wrong on the practice tests? I think you should try going back to the absolute basics - algebra, geometry, trig, and pre-calc. Looking at the practice questions, it would also help if you looked a little into statistics (probability). It’s difficult to build up without having a solid foundation, and you mentioned before that while calc is intuitive for you, you’re not great at applying the basics.

Next year I plan on taking:

Precal PreAP
English 2 PreAP
Physics PreAP
Spanish 3 PreAP
Principles of Health Science
AP Chemistry
AP US History

what are your experiences in these courses? how much homework did you have per day in each class? My main focus is science so that is why I doubled up on Biology and Chemistry this year and plan on doing so next year. Any advice in these courses? Thanks guys

@catchinginfinity what programs are you applying to?

3 math programs and a local “internship” (more like shadowing) if I don’t get into any of those.

I feel so unaccomplished because I probably won’t be doing anything this summer that’s actually worthwhile. Maybe volunteer locally… or go to China, who knows. Are any of you applying to SSP next summer!?

Applying to RSI tho
