._.

@catchinginfinity Mis amigos. Mis is plural. Just so you know, I’m not even in Spanish. I’m in French 2, but I took Spanish in eighth grade.

no no no youre all wrong all wrong all of you its Holla mees ameegus oh my god do youeve n know what spanish IS

laughs, my school only has phys h and ap phys, no such thing as B or C or w/e

@Animefan1998 - Yeah haha, thanks. I was confused because someone posted “Hola mi amigo”…
@TeamRocketGrunt - I saw that! But hey, good for her. I can see why it’s controversial, but if she feels “empowered” by it, I’m not going to say that it’s wrong. To be honest, I feel like slut-shaming has gone out of hand. It’s one thing to actually not have morals, but rape and prostitution is an entirely different topic.

@jmoran - I agree that if someone feels empowered to commit a crime, that does not justify doing the crime. But this isn’t hurting anyone; while most people would be concerned for her safety because the industry doesn’t have the greatest history with women, she stated that she ENJOYS it and is clearly in no harm. Would you avoid going to your dream school and paying for it by something that society deems “controversial” but you find empowering? If she’s happy doing it, I don’t think anyone should convince her that she shouldn’t. Again, this would be a different matter if she was in danger, but she’s clearly not.

@TeamRocketGrunt
The con for the voting rights act is awesome

@jmoran - BUT SEE, YOU AREN’T HER. You shouldn’t prevent a woman from going into the porn industry just because you don’t support the industry youself. (Most) people obviously live for themselves, not for the opinions of others. This is exactly why feminism exists - why should women do or not do something because of the way men perceive it? Why should anybody act because of someone else’s perception? I think you misunderstood what I tried to say; personally, I don’t support the porn industry, but I also don’t think that someone who decides to go into that industry doesn’t have morals. I wasn’t trying to establish the fact that she has morals because she’s not “in danger”, I was trying to get across that she’s safe in an industry that’s kind of infamous for mistreating women. As long as she’s safe, I see no reason why anybody would be against her being in the industry.

We should stop arguing about this. If I interpreted what you wrote correctly and you believe that all adult film actresses don’t have morals, I strongly suspect that it’s because of something you believe in. I’d rather not get into an argument about what’s moral.

You go girl. Get 'em.

What classes are you all currently taking and want to take next year? Registration forms are due later this week for me.

@jmoran: I agree with most of your points (but Duke is one of my dream schools lol :D)

Eh, I don’t personally care that she is in the porn industry (if someone wants to screw up their life, it’s honestly their choice). But what I take issue with is that she’s equating being insulted/shamed for being a prostitute to being shamed because one is a rape victim. The two are NOT the same (the prostitute had a choice, the rape victim did not) and to say that they are similar is to downplay the struggle that rape victims often face.

@TheAtlantic: what was the exact wording of the resolution, again?

It is so weird to read the early pages of this thread. We were so young back then.

Once I’m in college, I’m going to come back here and read through this entire thread lol. It’ll be an interesting experience.

What are all of your general strategies for the reading/verbal section of the SAT? I don’t really struggle with vocab, mainly just the passages. /: Do you read the passage and then look at the questions, or read the questions first, or read a paragraph and then look at the corresponding questions? That section will be the death of me.

How difficult would taking AP Chem be in place of a regular (honors) chem course?

@crxssan
Taking AP chem without chem experience is a pain.

@crxssan I agree with @SwaggyC, I heard that they go over regular chemistry in a week.
