@smrtical My teacher was really good throughout the year, so I didn’t usually need outside sources. Crash Course Chemistry with Hank Green on YouTube is a fun way to learn more about chemistry and have some background information, though.

hm, anyone here who’s super overly qualified for ivies?

European History: 4
World History: 5

Bio: 4 (was expecting a 2 since I didn’t budget time well on the FRQ’s, so I’ll take it lol)
Planning to AP Chem, Calc BC, and Physics B this year.

@TeamRocketGrunt Are you taking AP Physics 1 and 2 seeing as B is being divided?
I’ll take Chem and BC as well, along with Comp Sci, Lang, and APUSH.

AP US- 5 (Yay improvement over my 4 in world!)
A lot more content that I decided not to take the AP Calc AB this year and just take the BC test next year even though I got a 97 in the class because people who got B’s are getting 1’s back…ouch.

@typeakid It’s the opposite at my school. Lots of students who had C’s and B’s got 5s on the AB test. Which is interesting, because that means our class is more challenging, but I thought it was one of the easiest classes and got a 100.

Got 5’s on calc BC and bio! Looking forward to stats chem compsci and mech next year.

Got 5 on APUSH and Stats, and 4 on Human Geography. Not bad seeing that half of every class in Human Geo was spent not doing schoolwork and we had like 1 hour of homework a week lol

I managed to get all of the classes that I wanted next year, including one not normally offered to Juniors, so I’m happy.

5s on AP World and Stat :)

This has probably been discussed before, but what classes are you all taking next year?

Same here! @observeraffect

Let’s compare schedules for the 500,000,000th time!

I have block scheduling so this might look a little weird:

1st Semester
- Chamber Music H Part A (off-campus)
- Chemistry 2 H (you MUST take it the semester before AP Chem)
- AP Calc BC
- USH Honors (APUSH is also two semesters and I just couldn’t fit it; self-studying AP though)
- Advanced Topics H Part A (off-campus)
- Youth Orchestra H (off-campus)

2nd Semester
- Chamber Music H Part B
- AP Chem
- AP Comp Sci
- AP Lang
- Advanced Topics H Part B
- Youth Orchestra H

Congrats to everyone who did well on AP’s! :)

My schedule:
Precalc honors
AP Lang
Chemistry honors
US history advanced (idk why but there’s no history honors class so it’s just adv)
AP Stats
Chinese 4 honors
Gym/ family life (I heard that some other schools require like two years of gym, but my school requires all four years)
Child development (I need to get my elective done and I actually really like working with kids, so I’m looking forward to this class a lot)

Yeah… That’s about it! I’m just gonna be frank-- I’m not smart. My schedule probably looks really easy to you guys, especially since my post is after @Smrtical 's, but this is really challenging to me lol My school is easily in the top 10 in my state (NJ), so I think my schedule is definitely good enough haha

French 3
IB English HL
IB Math SL Yr. 2
IB History of the Americas
IB Biology HL
2 Trimesters of Theory of Knowledge/1 Trimester of Band

Latin 4 and Latin 5 Honors
Advanced Physics (Dual-enrollment course and probably going to take AP Physics 1 along with it)
Orchestra
Contemporary Strings
Jazz Band
APUSH
AP English Lit
Gym (Requirement)
Calculus Honors

Also thinking of self-studying AP Music Theory, Chinese, Chemistry, and possibly Stats…Any thoughts?

University English I
Math Modeling
University Calculus I (I’m taking the BC exam at the end of the year through self study)
AP Physics B with Advanced Problems (the most rigorous physics track available for juniors; just AP Physics B meets Monday-Wednesday with a lab on Thursday, but Advanced Problems people meet on Friday to work on harder problems)
AP Chemistry (I’ll either take the class, or just take normal chem and self study the AP exam; not sure yet)

Couple of other things that I’ve forgotten at the moment, but that’s the gist of it. My self studies will be AP Calc BC, AP Chem (if I end up deciding to not take the class), and maybe AP Stats (although I may decide to take the class for AP Stats since I need an official stats credit).

@alzhao I have a checklist for AP Music Theory. It probably doesn’t include everything, but you should at least have good knowledge of:

Reading music
Key signatures, both major and minor, how to identify them
Scales
Meters
How to sight sing

I might add to this list, but I’m slightly tired. :P

AP Calc AB
AP Physics 1
AP World History
AP English Lang
AP Psych
Spanish 4
Foundations of Tech

@TeamRocketGrunt Physics B isn’t a class any more, college board replaced it with Physics 1 and Physics 2. Are you taking each as a semester and then taking both AP tests?

@ErenYeager I’m taking both 1 and 2. I just say B because it’s less of a hassle to type lmao

@smrtical I think it usually is more normal to see grades like that, but the teacher was gone for the second half of the course. Not good for some students apparently whoops.

I have block scheduling too so it’s going to look weird

Semester 1
Music Theory
Concert/Show Choir
Economics first half then AP Chem
AP Calc BC

Semester 2
AP Lang
Concert/Show Choir
AP US Gov
AP Chem

I do have a question of how much I’d have to self study if I want to take the AP music theory test. I’m planning on majoring in performance, so I definitely will know the basics right off the bat.Does anyone have suggestions?
