High school class of 2016

I start in 2 days, and I’ve got a solid 2 AP classes and 6 IB classes to freak out about :blush:

I start September 8th. Still have to finish the AP Lang assignment

I start Monday and still haven’t read The Iliad. #procrastination

@XoXdreamerXoX LOL, You’re screwed haha

Update: I’ve read two pages of The Iliad.

I think i win; i have to read Invisible Man by tomorrow…

haven’t started; 581 pages…only thing that’s good is that the book is already annotated by my sister

@baller55 I had to read that before I got removed from lit.

Haha, I’m still not past page 2. Killer chores. Ugh.

Well, 702 pages to go.

They put me in AP Physics 1 again. :-S

Well, I just finished the first chapter of Crime and Punishment… 38 more to go!

I guess we can all agree that AP Lit/Lang sucks.

Did anyone get the super pretty Northwestern book today? A+ marketing.

So i read the spark notes for Invisible Man and already had a test :confused: . He gave us three quotes randomly from the text and made us tell him what happened before, during, and after the quote was said just to see how much of the plot we knew. I feel like i got two of the three perfectly. yay for spark notes

@glasshours I did.

I’m pretty upset they didn’t make an AP Physics 2 class. However, my teacher and I are looking for a way to make one. That’s the only class I actually was looking forward to.

How do you ask for recs if all your teachers hate you?

@LordBendtner Why do all your teachers hate you?

Be polite, visit them a few times/help them out and ask the teachers that hate you the least.

My college counselor said that they’ve done a national survey before, and they found out that 1/3 of admissions officers admitted to searching up applicants on Facebook; the actual percentage is probably even higher. So be just be careful/aware I guess.

@imbep49 - How do admissions officers not have the time to comprehensively read someone’s essay but have the time to look him/her up on Facebook?

@imbep49 Even college counselors can tell a small lie on the spur of the moment. Did s/he provide evidence? Link to the survey?
