How much are you guys estimating all of your apps will cost in total?
I’m applying to 8 schools and taking into consideration the app fees, sending scores, and sending css profiles, the total will be about $830. :((

Just realized that not only is next week October but also the SATs?!! Where did the time go? @-)
4 free apps, so $300.
I’m probably going to be spending ~$2000 total this year, including AP test fees and senior stuff (yearbooks, shirts, etc.). Isn’t it ironic how applying for financial aid costs money?
@cityanocean That’s a lot! I applied for one school for free, but didn’t send scores yet. Another school I’m applying to is $65. I’ll probably apply to a few more, so I estimate $200 on apps, plus $100 grad fee & prom!
College apps: $300
Sending SAT Scores: $180
Sending ACT Scores: $48
Prom: $55 (if tickets bought early)
Cap and Gown: $40
Senior events: $50
Prom dress: I honestly don’t care enough to spend $200, so $70, probably based on what I’ve seen.
$743-ish?
I did the math in my head in 10 seconds. It’s probably wrong.

Got a fee waiver for my ED school’s application so I’m hoping they accept me or else I’ll go bankrupt paying for 7 other app fees lol.
I’m gambling on not doing my other applications because I have a strong feeling I’ll be accepted to my ED school… But sometimes my feelings aren’t right (like during tests where I change answers and my original one was right), so I might be staying up to finish 7 applications late December. :-"
Contemplating applying to Uchicago
If you guys get your counselors to have the ACT/SAT scores printed on the transcript, you can save a lot of money. For example, those are just some of the colleges that let me do that:
Keep in mind those points (among others):
• You should consult with each college *personally *via email/phone about your unique situation. That way, you can also talk about some issues like Score Choice (and whether you have to list ALL or some of the scores on your transcript.
• If you have used an SAT fee waiver, there is an option to get four more score reports for free online (and also some college application fee waivers too. Really cool).
There is a fee waiver on Common App that covers up to twenty two schools right?
Has anyone thought about their senior quotes
@LordBendtner Yup, I’m pretty positive at this point that I’m going to use a quote from Dead Poets Society
@letmeseetheworld - Don’t know much about fee waivers, but CommonApp only allows you to apply to a max of 20 schools, so…
@ErenYeager Do you play League of Legends? I found someone with your name.
@Woandering Eren Yeager is an anime name, so a lot of ppl probably fancy it.
from Attack on Titan!
great anime if anyone’s wondering
So I had a college interview and it was awesome! Nothing like the questions my GC asked during my mock interview. I had my transcript and the admissions counselor(who I’ve met before) just asked me about my activities(student council and NHS) and how my classes were going. She looked at my transcript and explained how my GPA would be calculated and weighted. Then she told me (and brought my mom in at this point) that I will be at the top of her pile come December(EA due 12/1, decision 12/15) and that it is 95% likely I will receive the highest merit scholarship of $15,000 a year! I’m quite excited, my application is in the final stages and I will go on an overnight in November. Hope everyone else is making progress.
I received a draft of my first recommendation letter. I’m very happy with it!
