High school class of 2016

@senior2016er Welcome to the family! :slight_smile:

I made straight 100s throughout last year and constantly used/uses me as an example for girls who can handle physics and actually apply it instead of memorize it (he’s only ever had all boy classes at his other schools). It just made me too afraid to mess up since I tend to do badly on quizzes that are online. But he understood my grade and my reason for doing poorly and everything was back to normal today in class and he will help me prepare for the SAT Subject Test in physics.

Does anyone else get irritated when people who vaguely know where you’re applying decide to announce it to everyone, particularly teachers and administrators? Like, I’m flattered that you have confidence in me, but I don’t appreciate you talking about it in front of the entire class, especially since there’s a 99% chance I’m going to be rejected. There’s a reason I don’t tell anyone in real life other than close friends where I’m applying.

I’m semi-procrastinating on college apps right now…Do you think in-state applicants have a better chance of getting into Rutgers?

@TheSlacker16 isn’t their acceptance rate like…61%

Yes, but I live like 15 minutes away from their campus and my high school partners with them, so a lot of people want to go there

@TheSlacker15 I think in-states have a better chance anywhere, especially here.
I didn’t realize acceptance was that high! It’s a good school, I’m surprised.

@newjerseygirl98 Thanks! Wrong user, by the way (16, not 15)

I need to send 3 SAT II scores (from the same date) to a total of 8 schools. Assuming I didn’t use the 4 free score reports:

The Collegeboard website states that each report costs $11.25. Since all 3 scores are from the same date, do I only have to pay $11.25 x 8? Or is it $11.25 for sending each individual test, in which case I’d pay $11.25 x 3 x 8 in total?

Anyone know? Thanks!!

How am I doing homework at 2 am on Saturday

@cityonanocean For SAT score reports, the entire report costs $11.25. It doesn’t matter how many scores you send… You can send one, two, or all of them for the same price. So it’d be $11.25 x 8 = $90.

Why does it cost $11 to electronically send a few numbers to colleges that are probably going to glance at them for 10 seconds? :frowning:

Cuz college board needs the money to make applications harder for future generations … right?

@allista
Thank you very much for your response!

I’m so relieved–that saves my parents so much money.

My parents will kill me with the amount of money they have to pay next month.

That’s why you guys use the free reports provided with the test. I’ve already knocked out quite a few of my schools by using those.

Finally sat down and forced myself to clean up the supplement I wrote for my early school. Actually somewhat happy with it now, but still have to cut down 34 words. Sigh.

I actually requested that my scores be sent from May and June, but they never got sent. My College Board account just cost me over $90 that I now have to pay.

Just looking back through my junior year stuff makes me want to cry. I miss junior year. I had great teachers and great classes and great grades. I worked so hard but it felt like it was worth it. Now it just feels…bleh.
