High school class of 2016

That’s good. I doubt I’ll see my teacher one but he’s awesome and I know it’ll be great. And I know I won’t see the Rec from my GC. @newjerseygirl

@readingclaygirl I doubt I’ll see my GC’s, either. I’ve only met him a few times, so I can’t imagine what he’ll say.

My GC can’t possibly write a rec for me. I’m just one of 900. I’ve only seen her 2 times in my life for 2 minute periods so she could tell me my class rank.

Do you guys think a 33 ACT and a 3.8 gpa is a longshot/ high reach for stanford REA.

@cooldude1098 Stanford is a longshot for anyone.

Truth^

^ Agree

@XoXdreamerXoX I was watching the super moon on a live stream. It took at long time, but there was commentary talking about the moon like the best cameras to use to take pictures of it. Then another guest came who was like a researcher who has spent a lot of time studying what the moon is made of, mainly focusing on the geophysical properties of the moon. So I just listened to it while making flashcards, since the eclipse was(and is) happening so slowly. After, awhile I had to stop listening/watching it because my phone was about to die. But, yeah it was cool, especially since we are one of the few,in the past 30 years, to see this particular super moon. So I really appreciated being able to see it.

I watched by sitting outside while it happened. My way seems kind of lame now, haha.

@anonemuss Ohh. It also had 1997 with it, which could be someone from our grade, so I thought there might be a chance.

Out of curiosity, anyone play LoL?

One of my teachers offered to let me read the rec she wrote, but I thought it wasn’t allowed, since I already signed the FERPA.

@Woandering Whenever I ask for a rec letter from a teacher, they give a copy of the letter to me later when I stop by. Well, they ask me to stop by and pick up a copy to identify any errors.

@Woandering I used to think the same thing. It was explained to me that whether or not you can see your recs is completely up to the teacher since theres a difference between a teacher allowing you to see it and you asking to see it. If that makes sense.

@XoXdreamerXoX I mean that kind of defeats the whole purpose of waiving your FERPA. Colleges want to see what your teachers think of you, without your input.

@Woandering I know. But most teachers in my school do not know how to spell properly and they know it.

@XoXdreamerXoX no, I would have done it your way, but where I live the buildings get in the way of being able to see the moon. For example, last year me and my mom woke up early in the morning(or earlier in the year, I can’t remember)to see the blue moon, but we couldn’t even see it because of all the smog and the buildings being in the way. Hopefully,if the same type of super moon happens again in 30 years I will be able to watch it outside, that seems nice and relaxing.

The moon only appeared a bit larger than average in NJ. I’m not sure why.

@littlet4lks Thank you. I was wondering why my teacher sent me her draft if I signed the FERPA.

Anyone taking AP Bio think it sucks?

It’s boring as heck. I’m still making an A, but it’s boring me so much.

@XoXdreamerXoX Is there any sort of form you fill out so your GC has something to go on?

Does anyone know if using the Barron’s APUSH study book is good enough for the SAT II in USH?
