@kuriosmind I’m doing so for MIT. There’s been a lot of impact full things going on in my life lately, and I feel I write best a few days after these things blow past. But for now I’ll be with my dying dog, reflecting on my life. At least until October 28th. (Although he’s getting putting down tomorrow…man, I can’t write like this. I’ve had him for 15.5 years.)

In the end, it’s best to let him go. He’s had cancer for 3 years and when it came back, we couldn’t afford to treat him (the surgery was more expensive since he is older and would require more specialized care) and he’s just slowed down gradually and now can’t walk anymore. He’s in pain and it’s painful to watch.
@kuriosmind I am trying to edit my essays and stuff as much as possible and submit it when I’m happy. In particular, I’m agonizing over the optional section since I feel like there was a lot I wanted to put there but I forgot what I wanted to do.

No, not really. Many people at my HS do that. Of course you both have to be under 18 for it to be legal and all.
Not exactly. Dating isn’t wrong. However, if you want to engage in a more intimate relationship, you’d have to look into your state laws on age of consent or whatever.

I think 2 years difference or less is your best bet in HS.
Even 2 years is shaky though. I see a good amount of senior guys shamed for scheming on sophomores, and dating freshman girls as a senior is definitely frowned upon. I don’t have the right to say what’s right for an individual person but my opinion is that a senior guy should at least consider the guys or girls in his own grade. It’s different for senior girls. I’ve never seen one date any younger than a junior and it’s never been a problem
honestly there is only a 2 yr difference and if both of you consent to the relationship i personally do not see anything wrong with it! i feel like it gets a bit more controversial when a senior dates a freshmen, but even then if it’s consenting and the senior is not manipulating/taking advantage of the freshmen then i really do not see the issue. but of course, it depends on the circumstance and individuals.
