Does MIT release their EA decisions on Saturdays so we can have the weekend to cry?
How many words are your common app essays? Just curious

@XoXdreamerXoX I was curious earlier and checked, and it turns out that normally MIT does release EA decisions on a Saturday. Last year was 12/13/14, so it should be a Saturday around then.
My CommonApp essay is pretty short with just 517 words, but my supplementals for UChicago are all pretty long. 800 words for the uncommon essay and 600 for the Why UChicago question.
What did you guys write about for your CommonApp? I chose the topic describing a struggling experience and I talked about my job as a lifeguard.
I did identify a problem and solution something like that

I’m still finishing up the rest of my essays… :D/

@Mochis1 I actually decided to ask my own question after I talked to my regional admissions rep when he came to our school and he said he liked my question.
Sorry if this is a stupid question but if the deadline is Nov. 1, does that mean we technically have until 11:59 PM Nov 1?
Obviously I’m not going to wait until tomorrow night but I just wanted to make sure hahah

I’m pretty sure it’s 11:59PM but I’d submit it around now so when you try to submit it the Common App site isn’t crashing.

@XoXdreamerXoX You’re not starting over 2 days before the deadline are you?! Or do you mean for the regular round? My common app essay is kinda risky, but all my counsellor said was that it’s good. I kinda wish he had more to say because I know there’s always room for improvement…
I’m waiting until tomorrow afternoon to submit… I still need to edit my common app and supplement essays. I believe in us!!!
