Do you guys have people to edit your essays? Both of my editors bailed and now I’m kinda nervous.
@LordBendtner yeah, my boyfriend helped me out as well as some other friends. I can take a look at your essays if you want me to, just PM me and we can go from there. I might go to sleep soon though so it might not be edited until tomorrow morning.

I’m also down for editing essays in my spare time. My common app essay was edited over months to perfection but my supplements were all done in one night (for each school. Not all at once). Don’t worry about me stealing anyone’s essays because I’m the biggest narcissist in the world 
anyways I haven’t been keeping up with this thread cuz of all my supplements. Most of you seem really stressed, but I want you to know I believe in you all. We can do this! Jan. 1st lets go!

Do any of you have tips for WAITING for an interview? Like, mine is at a Starbucks, and I have no idea what I should do if I show up first. (My friend, who had the same interviewer, said that he doesn’t actually buy a drink, so)
My last one was at a library, so I just sat down and started reading a book in the lobby.
@glasshours If he’s not there yet, go ahead and wait at one of the comfy armchairs Starbucks has until someone who looks like an interviewer shows up. Buy a drink if you want before the interview starts, but don’t buy a drink for the interviewer.

On Christmas Eve my dad told me “You’re not getting into Providence”. So rude.
I don’t live with him, but he’s been bugging me. He wants me to go to our CC. He says it’s to “prove myself”, but it’s really because he doesn’t want to help pay. Nobody can talk to him about anything, so I won’t even try. I just can’t believe a parent would discourage their kid from going to a great school!
Not gonna bother going back & reading all of it, but are any of you struggling to finish supplements? 
I have 4/5 done for one school, then I have 1 each for 2 schools due by January 1st/2nd.
Then I have another 5 due by February 1st. YAY.
@newjerseygirl98 Pay no mind to him. There are points where parents do say awful things to their kids, and I believe that at this point we can understand what those harmful things are and ignore them. You do you and go for what your dream school is (if you know you can afford it or don’t mind hefty student loans). If he hasn’t blatantly stated he can’t afford it there’s not much you can do but ignore him.
@seanman1224 If it makes you feel any better, I just started my Common App essay right now. I have 6 schools; 4 due January 1st, 1 due January 2nd, 1 due January 5th.

MIT interview went pretty well (a lot better than my first interview, at least). It was strange, though; my interviewer didn’t really like MIT that much.

@glasshours, Did the interviewer say why he/she didn’t like MIT? Any trick questions? How long was the interview? My guess is that the reason people may not like MIT may be due to it being harder than they had anticipated.
