High school class of 2016

I actually can’t wait to see all of you post how excited you are that you got accepted to your top choice (hopefully!) :smiley:

Edit: Now out of curiosity, which school are you guys’ top choice? If you have any idea, because I certainly don’t. :-S

@LegendarySims

In order of preference:

-MIT/Texas A&M University (…they’re so opposite in nature but I love them both so much :(( …but I’ll probably get rejected from MIT, LOL)
-Columbia
-Harvard
-Yale
-Cornell
-Dartmouth
-Notre Dame

I mean, I love them all. I just love some more than others. At least one of my top choices is a school I’ve already been admitted to.

Edit: lmao, if someone from my school looked on this thread, they’d identify me immediately.

@LegendarySims
Like I said, Ball State is one of my top targets. I’m torn between majoring in Education or Journalism. Ball State has great programs in both.

I don’t have many options but I’ve looked into,

University of Louisville
Indiana University Southeast
Indiana State
Youngstown State

@XoXdreamerXoX That’s an awesome list! I hope you get accepted to all of them, but mostly MIT/Texas A&M since those are your top of the top. I was actually going to apply to A&M, but decided against it because being across the country sounds scary to me.

@LegendarySims Aw. You’re so nice. Thank you. :slight_smile: What are your top choices?

@arby423 I feel you. I’m torn between psychology and nursing; two completely different majors with different career paths.

@arby423

I apologize if I came off rude. I was just legitimately curious to see if that was a typo or if something bad was going on in your life. I’m sorry you had a terrible home life and it affected your GPA, but I’m glad you’re bettering yourself.

@AMan236 Nah man, no offense taken.

@LegendarySims
I’ve applied to:
Providence College
Catholic University of America
Montclair State University
Eastern Nazarene (Accepted)

I don’t have a top choice! I’m kinda tied between the top three. I’ve only visited Montclair so far, but I loved it. It’s also the most affordable, so it’s my top choice for now. I think CUA will be my top choice, if I get enough financial aid (doubt that will happen).

@Chrysanthemum14 I’d say my class’s four-year rate is less than 20%. Most people go to the CC, with a terrible graduation rate.
I’m the only one I’ve met applying out-of-state. I’m not sure why they don’t want to leave.

@XoXdreamerXoX Aww, thanks. :3 You’re welcome. :smiley:
Not in order of preference:

-UNC at Chapel Hill
-Wesleyan University
-Haverford College
-Bryn Mawr College
-Virginia Tech
-Emory University

Edit: Lmfaooo, I was thinking the same thing :))

@LegendarySims

My sis went to Emory. She hated it. Said a lot of uptight rich kids went there. I’m sure @LordBendtner would hate it because they’re very liberal.

@AMan236 Oh, damn. I’ve never come across an uptight rich kid, but I know I wouldn’t want to be surrounded by them. Thanks for the heads up.

@LegendarySims I hope you get into your top choice(s)!! I was going to apply to Emory then realized I really wasn’t willing to pay $23.25 more for score reports, lol.

Now I’m glad I didn’t because with the one uptight rich kid at my school, I’ve had enough of uptight rich kids, lol.

@AMan236 It depends on the liberal but you’re probably right. Tis why I’m praying I get in somewhere better than Berkeley and Michigan.

@LordBendtner Should’ve applied to Texas A&M. They’re conservative, lol. But they’re pretty accepting of all views, so I don’t mind being a liberal among the conservatives. I’m relatively silent about my views; the last thing I will bring up in conversation are politics and religion. Never ends well.

@LegendarySims I applied as nursing undergrad to 3 of my schools! :smiley:

@XoXdreamerXoX I don’t care for neocons either so it depends on the conservative

@XoXdreamerXoX Thank you very much. :smiley:

@chubii Yaayyy!! It would be awesome to become a nurse. I feel like I would be really content as one and would actually do a really good job. Do you just want to be an RN or would you pursue a masters degree and become a Nurse Practitioner?

@LegendarySims I’m not sure yet! I know I’m dead set on medicine (so far, lol)
and my schools, in preference:
UCLA
UPenn(nursing) / UCSD
Johns Hopkins
UC Irvine (nursing)
UC Davis / USC
SDSU (nursing)
Cal Poly SLO

@LordBendtner neocon = new generation of conservatives?

My tops:
Michigan/UNC
UVA
Maryland

UVA had the uptight vibe and uptight people stress me out even though I’m a little uptight myself in some respects haha. My familys from the midwest so chances are I’ll be heading back for Michigan unless UNC blesses me with some aid.

Michigans also the only one of my list where I can play some euchre.
