Then again, my school without security guards would be chaos. Security guards are often the ones that have to drag the kids out of class that are too far gone on drugs and are becoming unmanageable. Or the ones that break up fights or riots or food fights or occasionally protect people from flying tables in the cafeteria.

At my school, the place to go while you skip class is the media center. All you have to do is give the librarian a note saying “______ can come to the library” and she will believe you (she’s like 60 years old). Then, just stare at a book until the bell rings and hope no principal or security guards happen to walk in.
Don’t plan on skipping unless I have legit reasons. Absences and tardies count towards exemptions for final exam. Ending school early and not having to worry about all that stress is more important towards the end of the year.
But why does CSS say the last day to submit is Feb.15 and some schools have deadlines past this point
At my school you can only show up late/skip 3 times before you lose credit for the class.
I skipped seventh period once and went to cheesecake factory with some friends but couldn’t do it again because I wanted security if I was late. No pass, nothing, just left. Got that unexcused absence.
If skipping means missing the day by getting your parents to call you in sick then yea all the time, whenever I have multiple assessments on one day because I’m lame.
Also bathrooms at my school are horrid, not tryna spend an hour in one.
I skip first period probably like every other day, haha. My school punishment is after-school detention (its against the law in California to suspend students for missing school) and I just do my homework in there. First period is also my easiest class and my teacher posts all notes on our Google Classroom so I just sleep in. Very bad habit to get into, though.
My school only lets us skip twice, or miss eight classes, before we lose credits. If you exceed eight absences you can just write an appeal, though, which is what I do.
I usually just stay home if I want to skip, but my attendance has been better this year.
The CSS deadline of Feb 15 is for the 2015-16 school year. The 16-17 school year deadline is next year, apparently.

I skip gym all the time but I go to class for the first 5 minutes while he’s taking attendance and then I sneak out… This one time I made direct eye contact with my teacher as I was slowly backing out of the room and he just laughed at me.
We get 10 absences and then you must pass the semester exam. Each class is worth like 2 days so basically you can only miss 5 days and then be obligated to pass the final.
I usually only skip class when I have a huge test or project that i forgot to do or study for lol.
I have a friend who also skips class the day of a quiz/test. The reason is because the teacher sometimes go over the questions the next day and ‘Joe’ listens and takes the test after school (I guess some may call that cheating).
I’m literally hysterically crying right now because I’m trying to study for midterms but I can’t focus long enough to study anything at all and nobody is willing to come over and help keep me on track so all I’ve done for the past 3 days is absolutely nothing and I don’t pay attention in class or do the homework unless the teacher checks it so I have no idea what is going on in any of my classes like I don’t even know how I’ve managed to get by all these years because I can’t listen to a teacher talk for more than 3 minutes at a time before I start thinking about other things and I need a miracle to bring my chemistry grade up with this midterm but I guess I’m just going to fail it because it doesn’t look like I’m going to be studying at all even though I’ve been sitting at this table since 12pm trying to study but all I’ve done is solve one easy math problem and then bake a cake

I only skip during Vietnamese New Year. Would rather collect money than go to school for 5 hours tbh.
@anon9362 I’m a guy and I like to cook when I’m bored too. No one eats it sometimes tho 
sobs. I don’t even eat it, so I can’t complain. I just cook because it’s fun. It’s not even real food most of the time. It will be like a milkshake or smoothie (i don’t eat it because it’s too much sugar).
