High school class of 2016

@newjerseygirl98 Sounds intense! I sometimes watch University Challenge (it’s a trivia show) for fun, especially the ones between oxford and cambridge, but I never remember the facts anyways. It doesn’t make me feel as bad about myself since they’re university students haha.

@LordBendtner Yea, idk why he isn’t more famous. His songs are actually legit and very creative.
Actually, J Cole too, for that matter. Both of them are so underrated.

but Kendrick is famous af, he had 11 Grammy noms this year…still pissed about him losing Best Album to taylor swift though

I just found out I’m eligible for the full Pell Grant this year! Now, my state school will be a reasonable amount. But, I’ll receive less the next three years since I work. :frowning:

J Cole is really famous here, I thought he was everywhere haha @IBGuy101

I don’t think many people can relate to this (that’s a good thing)

I can remember a couple years ago having anxiety about having D’s and F’s, back when I had other things going on that distracted me from school. Now, after getting all A’s last semester, I’ve spent a lot of time out sick the last couple months and I have a lot of mid-to-high b’s and it’s just funny to me that I’m feeling the same anxiety that I was feeling about the D’s and the F’s. Last year, I would’ve looked at my grades I’ve got now and said “i’m doing just fine” now I’m like “oh noooo”. It’s just funny to me.

Oh and is the Kendrick album good? All his content is pretty good, but I’m just guessing that all these tracks he put out are songs that he cut out of the last album. Either way, I’m sure it’s good.

Sitting at the doctor’s office. Terrified. Why is this?

What’s wrong? @AMan236

I don’t know why is that @AMan236 ?

@infiniteCircle @newjerseygirl98

Nothing. In fact, I should be happy. Miss a day of school for a small procedure. But something about doctor’s offices scare me. Currently sitting in the room waiting for the doc to enter.

I hate school.

@AMan236 Hope the procedure goes well!

Wow, the kids on the Class of 2017 thread write such long posts. We usually write a few sentences!

Now that decisions are coming up in the following weeks, I’m starting to not want to look at mine lol. Too nervous :-S

We’re second semester seniors who don’t care about writing long paragraphs

Do you guys know if the ivies/selective schools are deliberating between applicants until the last day, or would they have finished their decision making in mid march? early march?

They’ve definitely already rejected a bunch of people, but I don’t know how long it takes for them to finalize the acceptances…they obviously already know some of those, though, because they send out LLs.

@wonderlanddd the true cost of senioritis

@wonderlanddd True. And they wouldn’t send LLs until they’ve seen all the applications (or at least enough to get a feel for the strength of the pool). I remember reading somewhere that they’ll have the decisions by early March, but doesn’t that seem too soon?

Seriously, High School is ridiculously boring now. So excited for college and the ability to take classes in exactly what I have an interest in instead of arbitrary courses required for high school (I’m looking at you Spanish). Gen eds are much better than required HS courses.

@kuriosmind Don’t a lot of colleges send out financial aid stuff with the acceptance? And they wouldn’t run the FA stuff for everyone, only those they choose to accept. So maybe they do have a pretty good chunk done by now, and just need to take the rest of the month for aid stuff? It does seem really early though.
